And the Winner is... Plus More Coloring Inspiration

Hi, everyone!

The time has come to pick a winner for the Technique Tuesday stop on the day 2 of the The Daily Marker Coloring 30 Day Coloring Challenge Blog Hop. 

First, we wanted to share a little more coloring inspiration from Design Team member Kymona Tracey.

Kymona turned a planner page into a canvas by stamping the pineapple from the Sweet Summertime stamp set onto it. Then she added some color to it with markers. Stamping and coloring in a planner is a great way to try new coloring techniques for cards and scrapbook pages.

Kymona used pencils to add a lot of highlights and shading to these two pears that she stamped with the Funny Fruits stamp set. Look closely at her coloring and you'll see a variety of greens and yellows in her design, which went right onto a card.

How to Create Cute Stickers for Your Planner

Hi, everyone!

Teri here today with a quick tutorial for all you planners out there! If you love stickers, you are going to love today's post.

Did you know you can take any cute stamp and turn it into a sticker? It's so easy! Let me show you how.

Start by taking a stamp and stamping it once on a sheet of sticker paper. You can find sticker paper at many office supply stores.

By the way, I'm using a cactus stamp from Technique Tuesday's A Little Prickly stamp set for this tutorial.

Make sure when you are stamping that you place the stamp on the center of your stamping block and you stamp without rocking or rolling the stamp! Go straight up and down.  

Color your image in with markers or pencils. If you are using markers, be sure to use an ink that does not bleed. For alcohol-based markers, I like to use Memento Tuxedo Black ink but you may have an ink you prefer instead!

Use your scissors to fussy the cut the image out. You'll end up with a sticker.

Not much of a fussy cutter? Here's an idea for you: Use crafting dies instead. Set the die on the image cutting side down. Use a little removable sticky tape to hold it in place. Run it through your manual die-cutting machine. You'll have a sticker to use on your planner pages!

These stickers look so great on planner pages!

Plus they are a great way to incorporate stamping on your pages without worrying about messing up!

Planning Healthier Meals with Clear Stamps

Are you trying to eat healthier? Here's an idea for you! 

Document your meals in a planner, and take some inspiration from Technique Tuesday friend Jenn Brown. 

Take a plain old planner and then use the Planner - Eat Healthy stamp set to document what you ate for breakfast , lunch and dinner. Add a little color by taking some of the stamp set's icons and stamping them next to the words. Use your markers or pencils to color them in.

Another idea? Use your planner to remind yourself to drink water by stamping a reminder for yourself every day of the week.

Be sure to leave a portion of your planner blank so you can jot down any important notes or observations from the week. Maybe you've tried a new recipe you can't wait to try again or want to remind yourself to try some different types of foods this week.

You may also want to give yourself something to giggle about during the week. We know that dieting isn't always fun! Jenn added a few phrases and images from the Sassy - Coffee and Perk Up clear stamp sets. It's such a fun idea.
