As usual, I cannot believe June is almost here! We here in the Pacific Northwest have been flirting with warmer weather. School is nearly out. We've had several days that were mostly sunny. And this all means that people around here are actually smiling and laughing a little more too.
Our first sneak peek is all about documenting memories of times that made you smile and laugh. Here's a quick look at this month's Memory Keepers' Studio stamp set.
The Fresh Cut Studio dies that are coming out in June will also give you a reason to smile. These dies are layered and will help you add a little dimension to your layouts and cards!
I hope you enjoyed these sneak peeks of a couple of the stamp and die sets that are coming in June. We'll send you all the details (plus links to lots of projects that are part of the blog hop) on Saturday, June 1st!
Hi everyone! This is Bev and I am delighted to introduce Sheree Forcier to all of you. In today's blog post she shares some ideas about how to make gorgeous butterfly embellishments for your scrapbook pages (or handmade cards). I love the lovely, airy layout that Sheree created!
I layered some white cardstock onto two pieces of patterned paper then decided where I wanted my photo to go. I added some machine stitching around the edge of the white cardstock background and to the top right corner of the photo, then added some die cut flowers and leaves.
I cut a white label using the Essentials Stitched Labels Dies, then stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set in the center using black ink. The label was placed to the left of the photo and I added a line of machine stitching across the middle. I also stamped the ‘lovely’ stamp from the Beautiful Butterflies Silhouettes Stamp set multiple times at the top right of the photo.
Next was the fun part…stamping the butterflies! To create the multi-coloured butterfly embellishments for this scrapbook page, I simply stamped the different butterflies directly onto patterned paper and cut them out. (I didn't have the matching dies but you could use them to avoid having to fussy cut out the butterflies.) This is a great, easy way to add colour to an image if you don’t have many coloured inks in your stash or if you’re not very confident working with markers.
Before adhering the butterflies to the page, I decided where I wanted them to go, then created a shadow for them using the Beautiful Butterflies Silhouettes Stamps and a lovely neutral coloured ink. I stamped directly onto the white cardstock, then added some machine stitched butterfly trails before adding the butterflies with foam dots to create extra dimension.
The journaling strips were added to the top left of the page and machine stitched, and the date was added to finish it off
If you’d like to watch my process you can see how I put it all together in the video below.
I hope I’ve given you a few ideas on how you can add dimension to your next project using the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set with the Beautiful Butterflies Silhouettes Stamp Set. They have been so much fun to create with!
Thanks so much for joining me today! Happy crafting!
Sheree
I love the wandering lines of stitching that indicate the butterflies' flight paths. And I adore the way Sheree used the butterfly silhouette stamps to make shadows for the detailed butterfly accents. These subtle details add a sense of movement, dimension, and bring the design together!

Yay... it's finally time to talk about the May release! We've been so busy celebrating National Scrapbook Day that we haven't had time to say much about the new stamps and dies we released on May 1st. But that all changes today!
Today, Bev is sharing a quick video showing you all the beautiful butterflies, the lovely roses, and the snappy alligators and crocodiles. Watch her video to learn a little bit about each of the new products. Then make sure you visit each stop on the blog hop to see tons of project ideas!
It's the end of the month, and of course, that means Sneak Peeks from us here at Technique Tuesday. However! This month is different. Yes, we have new stamps and dies coming, and yes, we are excited about them, but right now, we're even more excited about National Scrapbook Day (NSD) including a very special offer and a big blog hop!
The NSD special offer is coming out tomorrow morning. You'll be able to use the special offer on stamps and dies for cards, tags, planner spreads, and yes, scrapbook projects too.
Our designers have also been gearing up for our NSD blog hop, and I've been seeing all the projects they've been creating come in over the last few days. Oh my gosh, are they gorgeous! I've been inspired, so I know you will be too.
Tam & Julie here, to let you know that we are not fooling around today. We have our super-duper serious faces on, and will not stand for any kind of tom-foolery. Nor any Tam-foolery! But Julie-foolery is just fine. ;)
But seriously, we're not joking when we say that these new stamps and dies are gorgeous! Bev will tell you all about it in her new release video, below. You've probably been following along with our sneak peeks of the Monkey Business, Growing Garden, Garden Sentiments, and Meadow Flowers, but now you get to see everything!
Cool, right?

Are you ready for spring? Around my house, we are buying seeds and starts, getting our garden beds ready for planting, and planning which veggies are going where. Both of today's sneak peeks let me feel feel like I'm playing around in the garden even when it's pouring down rain outside.
This month's Memory Keepers Studio stamp set is named Growing Garden. It will help you make scrapbook pages about your garden, layouts about your child or grandchild who are growing like weeds, or gardening-themed cards for your friends and family members.
Are you a member of the Memory Keepers Studio auto-ship program? We will ship the Growing Garden stamp set to you starting on April 10th. You may also want to add the matching Growing Garden dies to your auto-shipment. If you do place an add-on order, don't forget to choose the "Members only: Add to my existing monthly shipment" option so you don't pay any additional shipping!
If you like the sneak peek of the Growing Garden stamp set, you will probably also like the Garden Sentiments stamps and matching dies. The hand-drawn garden and plant images from these two sets are designed to be mixed and matched together.
I hope you enjoyed the sneak peeks of these two sets of stamps and dies. If you want to be the first to see all the new stamps and dies on the new release reveal day, sign up for our Inner Circle Newsletter. We'll send you all the details on Monday!
Hi Everyone! This is Bev. I am so excited to welcome Ashley Horton to our blog today. I have admired Ashley's traditional scrapbook layouts and Traveler's Notebook projects for a long time. When she agreed to be a Guest Designer for us, I knew we would see some awesome projects. I hope you enjoy Ashley's tutorial!
Hi there! I’m Ashley Horton, and I’m so excited to be a Guest Designer with Technique Tuesday during the months of March and April. Today, I am sharing a layout in my Traveler’s Notebook, using the Love Home Stamp Set. I love working with stamp sets, because they are so easy to use for any project you are creating, whether it’s Traveler’s Notebooks, cards, scrapbook layouts, etc.
I started my Traveler's Notebook layout with a large photo and paired it with a Pie Chart patterned paper in the TN insert. In the center of the Pie Chart, I stamped the "Life at Home" sentiment as the title of my layout. Sentiments in your stamp sets, can easily be used as the title for your project, and I love that you can use them over and over again. Then I added a little bit of journaling and embellishing to complete the left-hand side of the layout.
I thought it would be fun to include some stamping on the photo, so I used the Oval & Rectangle Stitched Label Dies with a rainbow patterned paper. I loved that the rainbow patterned paper coordinated with the Pie Chart colors. Then I stamped two sentiments in black ink, from the Love Home stamp set onto the die cut pieces. I placed one at the top right-hand side and one at the bottom left hand side of the photo. Placing the two stamped sentiments this way, helped to add great balance to my TN layout.
And I just couldn’t finish this TN layout, without using the cute bird house image from the stamp set. I knew it would be great to use it to create a fussy cut embellishment. I stamped the bird house in black ink on two different patterned papers. Next, I cut out the pieces and trimmed away the bottom portion of the bird house on one of the patterned papers. I adhered the roof to the other part of the bird house and then placed it at the top of the Pie Chart.
Hip hip hooray... it's reveal day! That means it's time to share some fresh flower cards, a cute new raccoon, and memory keeper projects that celebrate what it means to be home.
To kick things off, I'd like to invite you to watch this quick, 3-minute video. In the video, I'll show you each of the new stamps & dies, and a project idea or two for each new product.

Like all the Memory Keeper Studio sets, the Love Home Stamps are designed to help you make great scrapbook layouts and project life pages. This brand-new set is perfect for recording and celebrating the place you spend most of your relaxing time - home! You'll find so many ways to use the hand-drawn images and phrases to create accents for your photos, or to make journal cards. The photo captions and embellishments you make will be perfect for projects about your current home, your childhood homes, grandma's house, or even your favorite home away from home. Plus make sure you watch Bev's release video tomorrow to see how these stamps can be used to make amazing cards too!
Are you a member of the Memory Keepers' Studio auto-ship program? We'll be shipping this stamp set to your home-sweet-home in March.
The Fresh Cut Studio dies for March are named The Build a Birdhouse Crafting Dies. They're super-cute on their own, but why stop there? These dies also pair beautifully with the Love Home stamp set. These are the kind of cute little birdhouses you don't need to get out your hammer and nails to build!
I hope you enjoyed the last day of the March Sneak Peeks. That means tomorrow you get to see the whole shebang. See you here for the big reveal and the new release blog hop!
