Happy Birthday Candles Gift Tag Tutorial

Hi, everyone!

Heading to a birthday party? Short on time but wanting to give a gift from the heart? Consider making hand-stamped gift tag like this to tie onto a store-bought gift! BrightestBirthdayCandlesTag-TeriA-TechniqueTuesday

It's a cinch to make one like with a few ink pads, cardstock, floss and the Many Candles stamp set from Technique Tuesday. Let me show you how.

Start by stamping some candles and flames on a strip of cardstock. Using ink daubers (or cosmetic sponges) to sponge some ink onto each candle.

Bdaycandlesstep2Keep sponging ink onto your tag until the candles are completely covered. Want the colors of your candles to be a little more intense? Go back and apply some additional ink. Bdaycandlesstep3

Now take a white pen or pencil and add some additional details to the candles and flames. Dots and dashes are always a fun touch!

Trim the bottom of your cardstock panel. Stamp a sentiment on a strip of cardstock. Set it aside.

Roll a piece of floss in a circle like so. Adhere it to your tag. Also, poke a hole a top of your tag with a hole punch.
Bdaycandlesstep3Use foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the birthday tag!

Finish your birthday tag by tying a piece of floss or ribbon through the hole.

Stamped Birthday Card Inspiration featuring By the Numbers

Are you making a birthday card? The By the Numbers Crafting Die will help you make a card that's one to remember!

This background crafting die will almost cover an A2 sized card, leaving just a little border. All you need to do is add a birthday sentiment and your card will be complete.

Looking for even more tips and tricks for this fun die? Here are some ideas straight from the Technique Tuesday Creative Team.

Create an interesting background for your next card by adhering patterned paper strips behind the die-cut numbers. Not a fan of patterned paper? Use strips of solid cardstock instead!

Cut the numbers out of white cardstock. Set them on scratch paper and then use inks or markers to apply color to them. You'll end up with die-cuts that perfectly coordinate with your stamped images!

Use the numbers like patterned paper. Cut a number panel from cardstock and place it on a card, just like you would a piece of patterned paper. Add a few decorations on top of it to complete your card.

Create a tri-color number panel! Cut the numbers from white cardstock and then use three different colors of ink to add color to it. Want perfect lines when you add color? Use sticky notes to mask off part of the panel as you ink.

Have you made a card or scrapbook page with the By the Numbers die? We'd love to see it! Share your project with us on Facebook and Instagram. Be sure to use the #TechniqueTuesday hashtag.

Zombies-Cupcake-DIY-Canning-Jar-Valentines-Friendship-Hearts-Julie-C-Technique-TuesdayYep! A canning jar filled with goodies!

It's easy to make one like Julie's. Start with a wide rimmed canning jar. Put a layer of candy at the bottom and then add a cupcake on top!

Decorate the top of the jar with a little ribbon and then add a stamped tag to the jar.

Zombies-Cupcake-DIY-Canning-Jar-Close-2-Valentines-Friendship-Hearts-Julie-C-Technique-TuesdayJulie created her tag from cardstock. She stamped the jar from the Meant to Be stamp set and added a little color to it. The words are from the You Aren't Normal clear stamp set. She finished off tag with some hearts cut with the Charming Hearts DIY Steel Dies. Easy peasy!

Hi all!

Planning a Summer party? Give your party table the handmade touch! Cupcake picks are easy to make with Technique Tuesday's DIY Steel Dies.

Summer Cupcake Picks from TechniqueTuesday.comDie-cut a few shapes. Adhere them together and then add toothpicks to them. The end result: Picks perfect to stick in cupcakes!

Sunshine Cupcake Pick from TechniqueTuesday.comTo make the sunshine pick, we cut the "rays" from yellow cardstock with a banner die from the Flair Maker steel dies. The center was created with dies from both the Flair Maker and Circles steel dies.

We drew the happy face on the sun with a black pen. Want to make the sunshine's face even cuter? Consider using wiggle eyes.

Banner Cupcake Pick from TechniqueTuesday.comFor the banner topper, we tied twine onto two toothpicks. And then we just added flags cut with the Flair Maker dies. Don't you love that bright happy rainbow color combination?! So fun!

A DIY Valentine’s Day Gift

Hi all!
Love in the air, and we’ve got some Valentine's Day gift inspiration for you today.
How fun would these little bottles of bubbles be to give out to your special Valentines?

Valentine's Bubble Bottles from

Super fun if you ask me.
And the coolest part? They didn’t break the bank to make them. We found the bottles of bubbles at a dollar store. And then we made the decorations on them ourselves! We die-cut the hearts, flags and circles with Technique Tuesday’s Nested Hearts and Flair Maker steel dies.

Valentine's Bubble Bottles from

We stamped the “XO” sentiments with the Williamsburg Alphabet Small clear stamp set. The set’s letters are the perfect size to stamp on the flags!

We adhered the circles to the bubble bottles with foam adhesive and then tied on a little bit of twine to each bottle for good measure. So cute and so easy!

Simple Birthday Treats

Hi all!

Planning a birthday party? Looking for a quick and easy favor to give your party guests?

Check out these little treat cups I made for guests at a recent birthday party. They took just minutes to make. Yes, really! They were that easy!

Birthday Favors from Technique TuesdayWhile I filled my little cups with candy. you could easily fill them up mints, seeds or some kind of other yummy treat instead.

I found the plastic treat cups at the dollar store. I think I got 8 or 10 cups for a dollar! It was a deal.

I stamped each of the circle elements with stamps from Technique Tuesday's Extra Sprinkles stamp set

Extra Sprinkles clear stamp set from Technique Tuesday

I stamped the words on red cardstock. And then I stamped a couple images on white cardstock and colored them in with pencils.

I used Technique Tuesday's Circles steel dies to cut them out. Don't have the dies? That's OK. The large circles in the stamp set work with a 1 3/4" circle punch. The small images work with a 1" circle punch.

Birthday Favors from Technique Tuesday

I adhered the circles together and then placed them onto the plastic lids with foam dots.

Birthday Favors from Technique TuesdayAfter that, I filled each container with treats and sealed them up. If you wanted to make your favors a little fancier, you could tie some twine around each container and add some gems or enamel dots to the top.
