Isn't it fun when you get something that is all wrapped up with a ribbon and a bow! Whether it's for a birthday, anniversary, graduation, wedding, or Christmas, the Bow on the Border Crafting Die will let you add that special feeling to your next card. Here's a quick video introducing this new die. Plus check out the super-cool Bow on the Border projects from the Technique Tuesday Design Team! I think you are going to love all the crafty possibilities!
Do you ever wait until the last minute to put together a birthday or anniversary card? Here's a quick fix for that situation.
Make a white card base that is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score it.
Unfold the card base. Use the Bow on the Border Crafting Die along the left edge of the card.
Cut out 3 different strips of pattern paper. Adhere two of them to the inside of your card. And adhere the other piece to the outside of the front of your card. (If you want to get fancy, add a few stitch lines with your sewing machine after you've adhered them to your card.)
Then add a stamped sentiment.
Want to make a bunch of Christmas cards? We've got a recipe for that too. You are going to love this.
Make a white card base that is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score it.
Unfold the card base. Use the Bow on the Border Crafting Die along the left edge of the card. Save the little white pieces from the inside of the bow.
Run the Bow on the Border Crafting Die through your die cutting machine again. (Heather used red cardstock. You may want to use green, blue or some other color.)
Put the ribbon pieces and bow pieces back into your white card. Use some tape to keep them in place.
Cut out a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of patterned paper and adhere it to the inside of the card.
Add a sentiment.
Repeat each of these steps to make as many cards as you need.
If you want to get the most cards for your time and money, do the same card design but use different colors of paper. For example, Heather was able to use the white ribbon and bow pieces that come out of card shown above, and put them into the red card-base shown below. And similarly, she put all the red ribbon and bow pieces that she cut out of this card base back into the card shown above. How fun!
I hope you enjoyed seeing these Bow on the Border project ideas! We'd love to see your projects too. Share them with us on Instagram and Facebook. Be sure to tag us and use the #TechniqueTuesday hashtag.

When it comes to cards, this one by Jill Dewey Hawkins is the purr-fect one to send a friend to let her know you are thinking of her. Jill created her sweet scene with the Kyle the Cool Cat stamps and dies. Don't you just love the soft colors she colored Kyle and his mouse friend with?
Here's another fun card created by Birgit Edbom with the Kyle the Cool Cat stamps. This card, too, would be a fun card to send a friend or a loved one.
I'd be lion if I didn't say how much I like this card by Ashley Harris. Leonardo stands tall on the card, thanks to Ashley stamping and die-cutting him and then adhering him to the card with foam tape. The stamped hearts add a sweet finishing touch to the card.
Leonardo isn't just meant to be used on cards for friends. He looks meowy nice on birthday cards too.
You'll also find a cat in our Planner Cat stamp set. This little guy was drawn to be used on planner pages, but he sure looks cute on cards too. This one by Jill Dewey Hawkins is paw-some!
Jill's stamped patterned paper looks wonderful! Imagine creating one like it to use on a scrapbook page instead. It'd even be fun to make a stamped paper to use to wrap a gift for a your favorite cat loving friend!
Hope you've enjoyed these fun projects. Got a favorite? I'd love to hear about it!

There are so many amazing craft projects you can make the Thanksgiving stamps and dies. Here's a few thank you cards to fuel your creative juices.
Colorful leaves are synonymous with Fall, and this card Tobi Crawford made is on point. Make your own leafy card by die-cutting several leaves with the Fall Leaves cutting dies from cardstock and then applying color to them with ink or watercolors. Want to give them a little texture? Add some glitter or Glossy Accents or splatters of white paint to them. You could even simply crinkle them up.
Don't limit yourself to using die-cut leaves on your next card. Follow Daniela Dobson's lead and create a card that combines die-cut leaves with leaves stamped with the Fall Favorites stamp set.
Make a card with a wreath of leaves on it like Tonya Dirk did with the I Am Thankful stamp set. Consider using the card to tell your best friend or a loved one you are thankful for them being in your life.
Treat your favorite chef (or the sweet soul who makes your Thanksgiving dinner) to an adorable stamped card like this one by Jill Dewey Hawkins. You can easily make a background paper like Jill's with the Chef Owl stamps. Simply ink up the owl and stamp her again and again on cardstock.

Ok, it's confession time. I adore Christmas lights. The soft glow of the lights on the tree or on the mantle makes me so happy. So when Teri Anderson proposed the new String of Lights stamp set and the coordinating Christmas Lights Border Die, I was all in. Both the stamp set and die were designed to work just fine by themselves. And they are even better together. You can purchase the stamps and die separately. Or for the next several days you can save some money when you buy the stamp and die bundle.
I hope you'll check out this 1-minute intro video and get inspired by these projects from the TT designers!
When you are working with a classic image, such as Christmas lights, it often works well to keep things simple. On this card, Dana Joy used white cardstock, the stamps, and black ink. Then she used makers to add color to each stamped Christmas light. What an easy way to make a DELIGHTFUL card!
The perfect Christmas package would not be complete without a gift tag. Dana Kirby stamped the String of Lights image off the edges of white cardstock tags and added sentiments for the same stamp set. Then she layered her stamped pieces onto some patterned paper to make these ADORABLE tags.
When Teri proposed the String of Lights stamp set, I didn't think about how it might work in a planner. I just imaged the image and sentiments on cards and tags. But look what Latisha Yoast did. She used them in her planner. Latisha shared more details on her blog!
Wow... look at this DELIGHTFUL card by Dana Kirby. She used the Christmas Lights Border die to die cut out several colors of cardstock. Then she die cut out the white cardstock pieces and placed the colorful bulbs and black strings and socket pieces back into place. With all the different colors of bulbs, she could make a bunch of the same card by just switching where she puts the different colors of bulbs.
Lean in real close. I truly love spending Thanksgiving with my family and friends. There's nothing like spending the day doing nothing but catching up with each other. But I do have a second favorite part of the day. What's that you ask? It's the turkey and pie, of course! It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without these delicious foods!
Do you plan on working on some Fall-themed scrapbook pages and Thanksgiving-inspired cards? Meet the Turkey & Pie crafting dies. You can use this set of dies to make die-cut turkeys, pies, apples and pears for all your paper crafting and memory keeping projects. Imagine all the cute accents you can make with them! And here's the best part... they are calorie-free! If only Thanksgiving really was calorie-free too!
I hope you enjoyed Bev's quick video about the dies. And here are some cool projects created with the dies that I hope will inspire you too!
Wow! This card by Dana Joy is the perfect card to send a loved one that you are missing over the holidays. Her sweet scene looks just like an actual dinner table. And the sentiment stamped with Happy Thanksgiving stamp set is the perfect touch! Stop by Dana's blog to learn how you can make a card like her's.
This card by Teri uses in the dies in a slightly different way. Teri left the outer frames of the die-cuts white and then added color to only the inner pieces. How did she add the color? Simple. She used markers. Like Dana, she too completed her card with a sentiment from the Happy Thanksgiving stamp set.
By the way, you'll want to comment as you hop. There's a Technique Tuesday gift certificate that will be given to someone who comments on one of the hop's stops. You just might end up being the winner!
