Hello! Julie here today with an entertaining scrapbook layout from Sheree. Her traveler's notebook pages showcase some hilarious photos and amusing memories from her everyday life. Projects about family members and friends who make you laugh are such a hoot to work on, aren't they? I hope you enjoy her tutorial!
Hi everyone! It’s Sheree with you today as guest designer this month and I have a traveler’s notebook spread to share with your using the fun Laugh and Smile Stamp Set!
First, I printed my journaling and cut my pages to size then added a strip of patterned paper down the outside of each. I always like to add a bit of machine stitching too for a little texture. Once my photos were adhered into place it was time for a little stamping!
I stamped two of the solid phrases, the smiley face and “haha” stamps onto some plain white cardstock and cut them out. The first one, "This Photo Makes Me", was added to the bottom of the main photo as part of the title. The second was the word “everyday” which became part of my journaling on the second page.
The “haha” piece was adhered to a small white tag and attached to the photo using a paper clip, and the smiley face was layered onto another embellishment near the photos on the second page.
Finally, to complete the title I inked up the “laugh” outline stamp then stamped in over and over down the page without reinking. I love the way the word fades out down the page!
The Laugh and Smile Stamp Set is so much fun and so versatile too! You could use them for any number of happy themed projects!
I love how she used color block paper to set off the text blocks from the Laugh and Smile Stamp Set here. What a cool, simple way you could use to make your photos stand out in your next layout. Head on over to the website to see more projects featuring the Laugh and Smile Stamp Set.
P.S. Here are links to the Laugh and Smile Stamp Set and a couple of crafting dies that would be great for making your own layout about the people who make you laugh. :)
