Hey there! Julie here, introducing a new post from Ana. Today she is showing us how she made this super cute sloth shaker card.
Hello crafty friends! It’s Ana here today with a sloth shaker card featuring the super adorable Sloane and Slater the Sloths stamps and dies.
I love shaker cards and could not resist making one for my friend who loves sloths and the color purple.
I started with coloring the adorable sloth image with Copic markers. I’ve used E18, E37, E35, E33 and YR20 for the face. Once the coloring was done, I used Sloane and Slater the Sloths crafting dies to die cut the image.
I used previously made background (made by ink smooshing of some leftover inks I had on the mat) for the shaker part.
Next I chose sequins from 5 different packs – I love to match the sequins to my projects so I just pick out the colors I need.
I doubled the foam tape and adhered a piece of acetate, added my sequins in and backed it with an ink smooshed background.
Once the shaker part of the card was complete, I backed the panel with a purple card base and trimmed 4 additional thin strips to frame the shaker.
I stamped the sentiment (from Sloane and Slater the Sloths stamp set), die cut it with Essential Stitched Labels Crafting Dies and adhered to the background with foam tape. I added two puffy heart stickers to each side of the sentiment.
Finally, I added my adorable sloth to the middle of my shaker and my card was finished.
This card was so easy and simple to make and would be perfect for mass producing. With so many different sentiments included in this stamp set, it would be really easy to make shaker cards for any occasion.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I really hope you like the card I shared today and got inspired.
Until next time I wish you Happy Crafting!
What a great stamped sloth shaker card! I love how simple it is, and how easy it would be to make a whole series of thank you cards like this to send out after a birthday or something.
