Project Ideas Featuring the New Love Is In The Air Stamp Set!

Hi everyone, Bev here! Today I am excited to introduce the new Love is in the Air stamp set. This stamp set is part of the Memory Keepers Studio Collection. In this video I'll start by showing you several ideas for using these stamps on scrapbook layouts, journaling cards, and pocket pages. But I also share ideas you can use to make gift tags, graduation cards, cards for Valentine’s day, and projects for love-themed occasions all year long.

Project Descriptions and Closeup Pictures

Make Your Own Photo Captions: Here's a picture of Shelley and her husband. Shelley works here at TT and manages our customer service team so you may have exchanged email with her or talked to her on the phone. To make a photo caption for Shelley's picture, we simply stamped the phrase "Love Is In the Air" and added some hearts.

Create Journaling Cards: To make this journaling card, we stamped a different phrase and then added the string of vertically stacked hearts. Using a marker that matches Shelley's shirt, we colored in the hearts to make a journaling card that complements this picture.

Stamp a Patterned Background: The photo caption and journaling card show how you can add some small pops of color. But if you enjoy more serious coloring, you can make your own patterned background like this one. Here we used the hand-drawn hot air balloon stamp, and markers to make this bright and happy background.

Add Color to the Open Fonts: When we designed this stamp set, we kept in mind the ways that scrapbookers and memory keepers create (like we do with all the Memory Keeper Studio stamp sets). We know that many scrapbookers prefer not to do complicated coloring. So instead we included fonts and some images that make it easy for you to add smaller pops of color to your projects. For this photo caption, we used markers that match the colors in the girl's hair bow and boots to color in the letters in the word "heart" and in the heart images.

Make Ombre Words: Here's an even easier way to add color to the open fonts. Just use one color of marker to make ombre letters!

Create Wedding, Anniversary, Valentine Day, and Love-themed Cards: For this card, we used Distress Inks to make a blended background. (Here's a link to Bev's Distress Ink Blending Tutorial Video.) Then we used watercolors to make a vibrant hot air balloon embellishment and added a simple sentiment.

Make Cards for Adventures That Happen All Year Long: If you are like me, it seems like someone I know is always moving away to their favorite city, starting a new job, going on a mission, graduating, retiring, or is headed off on some other big life adventure. Make a colorful card like this one to encourage your friends and family members!

Don't Forget About Gift Tags: Who wouldn't like to receive a gift with a tag that promises to be filled with Love? Use the bouquet of balloons stamp and a masking technique. (Here's a link to Bev's Masking Video Tutorial.) Then color your balloons and the open letters in the sentiment to finish your tag.

Use White Gel Pens to Make Unique Accents: Stamp and color the hot air balloons. Then add some white dots to the hearts in the hot air balloons.

Add Some Glitter Glow: Use markers to color your hot air balloons. Then add some glitter around the edges to make it look like the balloons are glowing!

Fussy-cut and Layer Your Stamped Images: Stamp some hot air balloons. Color and cut apart pieces of them (like the hearts) and layer them back together. Then add some washi tape, a doily, and baker's twine to make a gorgeous card like this one!!

Keep Things Clean and Simple: Here’s a very clean and simple project. It would make a great journal cover. Or it could be a card for someone who is starting a new chapter in their life. Plus remember the heart swoosh from the stamp set? Notice how two of the heart swooshes were strung together to fill the space and make a longer swoosh!

Make a Swooshy Background: Once you’ve strung together more than one heart swoosh, why not make a whole background full of them? Then add color to the hearts to make a more colorful background!

Mix Together a Bunch of the Images: On this project, the airplane, heart swoosh, present and heart balloons were used to create a whimsical scene. What combinations are you going to use on your projects?
