Create a Handmade Card in a Few Easy Steps
One Stamp Set. Four Ways to Use It!

A Bee-utiful Card from Tobi

Hi, everyone!

We've got Technique Tuesday Ambassador Tobi Crawford here today to share with you a super cute card she created with the Bugs & Kisses stamp set

Take it away, Tobi!

"One of the things I'm LOVING right now is cards with simple, beautiful, stenciled backgrounds with a well-colored image and sentiment on top. So that's what I set out to make!

A Bee-utiful Stamped Card by Tobi Crawford I knew I'd be using an image of a bee from Technique Tuesday's Bugs & Kisses stamp set, so I chose three shades of Distress Oxide Ink that would fade nicely into each other when used with a hexagon stencil.

Instead of blending foam, I decided to use the new-ish Distress Blending Brushes to create this fade. It worked well because by using one brush for all three colors, the inks kind of blended on the brush before applying it to the paper. I love how soft and seamless it turned out.A Bee-utiful Stamped Card by Tobi CrawfordWith a well-balanced and harmonious background, a small image and sentiment don't look out of place - it's actually perfect!"

Thanks for sharing this fun card, Tobi! Have you made something with the Bugs & Kisses stamp set or any of the cute critters in our Animal House collection? We'd love to see it! Share a link to your project so we can stop by and leave a little love for you!
