The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge Blog Hop - Day 2

30 Days Coloring Challenge from The Daily Marker

Hi, friends!

Technique Tuesday is excited to be taking part in the second day of a fun blog hop celebrating The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Have you heard of the challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin? The challenge, which started again on June 1st, is all about coloring. This is the 10th time Kathy has hosted this challenge.

The premise of “The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge” is to color something everyday even if it’s only just for five or 10 minutes. However, if you don't have time to commit to taking part in it everyday, you are still invited to play whenever you have time.

All coloring mediums are welcomed. You can upload your projects  here  or on Instagram or in a private Daily Marker Facebook group. Remember to use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day  and tag @kathyrac when you share your projects!

Some of the Technique Tuesday Design Team members have been taking part in the challenge this time.

Funny Fruit stamped images by Jill Dewey HawkinsJill Dewey Hawkins used markers to color in these adorable peaches and bananas from the Funny Fruits. The wiggle eyes perfectly finish them off!

Stamped Geese by Kymona Tracey for Technique TuesdayKymona Tracey did some stamping and coloring in her planner! She even tied her coloring of the birds from Duck Swan Goose to National Repeat Day. Fun!

Jellyfish stamped card by Emily LeiphartEmily Leiphart used watercolors to color in these jellyfish from Sassy Love Your Guts and then put them on card. Don't you love how she added color to the stamped sentiment too?

In need of some coloring inspiration to get going with the challenge (or to get your through it)? We've got some great videos on our website that feature coloring.

This one by Julie features colored pencils and shows you how to do no-line coloring on vellum. It's one of my favorite videos! Julie's results are stunning!

Be sure to check out all the stops on the hop today! There are some prizes up for grabs, plus there's even more coloring inspiration!

The jelly fish sentiment really happened to my friends. Their little boy really not understand that his dad was trying to save him a whole lotta pain!

I am so glad you are part of this hop, I like my Technique Tuesday stamps! I really enjoyed the Vellum coloring video. I have never seen this done with colored pencils before.

these cards are so fun - love the sentiment and goggly eyes - I love using Markers to color

So adorable, amazing images and coloring!

the coloring on vellum is fantastic - thanks for showing how you did it!

WHAT A SUPER TECHNIQUE you've shown us on the video!!! I LOOOVE IT!!!! THANK YOU! I always think of vellum for some reason, when I think of Easter; & Lilies on Vellum? PERFECT!!! Lilies are also one of my all time FAVORITE FLOWERS!!! Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH for the video! I've NEVER seen that technique before! ;) THANK YOU ALSO for supporting Kathy with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge!!!! ;) (LOVE the little colored pieces of fruit with eyes too! SO CUTE!!! ;) )

Adorable little images! I love watercolors.

Coloring is definitely not my best skill. I love to see what others have done, though. Love your examples. The wiggly eyes are my favorite...

The jellyfish is awesome! I color usually with distress inks, now I am trying ecoline and other types of watercolors too...

I prefer the saturation of color that I get from using alcohol markers. Thanks for sharing your cute colored projects!

Wow, I watched the video from Julie and this is awesome. Great colouring and learningful video.
LOve also all the other beautiful cards that the team has made.
It’s such fun to do the 30 Day Coloring Challenge (again) and this great blog hop aswell, thanks for your part in the challenge and the great giveaway for the hop!

I like to color with the Zig markers and
with colored pencils. I'm an advanced
beginner - getting more confident with my
work - and these two mediums have been
wonderful to work with. thanks for sharing

Such wonderful coloring and inspiration! I love how the word jellyfish is colored in the same way as the jellyfish on the last card :)

Beautiful inspiration! I love to use watercolor and colored pencils.

Wonderful projects and I like to use Copics or watercolors!

These projects are lovely. Thanks for sharing the technique video. I've only used pencils and watercolours so far, and I prefer the watercolours.

Fabulous colouring all around. Love the googly eyes on those fruit :D

Love those googly eyes fruit - so sweet (pun intended! ha!). I am not a good colorer at all, but I do try and my favorite is water coloring (it's more forgiving!).

Adorable bananas and peaches! Love the wiggly eyes. I like to "watercolor" with ink pads and a water brush. I also enjoy colored pencils and have my eye on trying Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers next.

Fruit with googly eyes!! How fun! And the sentiment with the jellyfish, LOL!! Thank you for sharing the video. I will definitely have to give that technique a try. Fabulous!! I enjoy coloring with many mediums, but I think Spectrum Noir markers are my current favorite.

I love the google eyes! I like to color with Copics!

Love those fruits with the google eyes. Most of the time I use my Copics but I also like my Zig Clean Color Markers.

My coloring go-to are my alcohol markers. I am working on expanding my horizons, so I'm practicing more with watercolor and colored pencils. I am not sure which is my favorite!!!! Thanks for the diverse sampling of inspiration for this fun hop!

Great effect on vellum. My favourite medium is coloured pencils but I'm trying to get to grips with markers as well to advance my images x

I am more comfortable coloring with watercolors, but do use pencils and markers too!

Been there almost done that! Also experienced jellyfish stings. Super cute!

Wonderfully inspiring projects and a great video! My favorite medium is colored pencils. Thank you for your sponsorship of this hop! ❤

Adorable cards! Love the jellyfish sentiment! Too funny! I usually use colored pencils for my coloring as I have a bit more control but would really like to learn water coloring.

I love all three ways to color! It's fun to try different things!

Love the fruit with google eyes!

I loved your florals that Kathy showcased!

Gorgeous cards!! I especially love the jelly fish card!!!

I love coloring and most of the time I use Copics. The little googly eyes on the fruit is adorable!

These projects make me grin, which is what they're supposed to do in my book. Thank you so much for sharing the video on the vellum technique. I feel like this should have been so obvious, but it never even occurred to me. I'm definitely going to have to try it! Thank you for sharing and being so generous in your support of Kathy and the challenge.

I use colored pencils the most when coloring. I can't shade as well using markers yet but they say practice makes perfect. I love your jellyfish card and the sentiment. It tickled me! Thanks for sharing all of your designs.

Oh my gosh this no line coloring on vellum idea is brilliant. I will be trying this. I am so glad I checked other blogs and finally got a link that worked for the hop.
