Hi all!
You are in for a treat! We've got special guest Susan Opel here today with a card created just for you!
First, meet Susan!
Susan, a Michigander at heart, currently lives in Utah. She is a former teacher turned craft-industry professional. She currently works for Simon Says Stamp! as their Social Media Engagement Coordinator and Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine as their Editor-In-Chief. Susan is a daughter, sister and aunt, a friend to many, a lover of Jesus, a fashionista, a fan of Kid Rock and someone who calls herself a crafty cheerleader. She is also a scrapbooker and cardmaker, and she regularly shares her work on Instagram and Facebook.
We are absolutely delighted to have her here today.
So check out this cool card Susan made!
Talk about fun! Susan created a truly flock-tastic flock with the Floyd and Frannie Flamingo stamp set with the help of the masking technique!
Want to mask? Here's how. Stamp an image onto your card. Then stamp it a second time on a sticky note. Fussy cut the image out with your scissors, and you'll have a mask! Set the mask on your original stamped image and then stamp the image one more time. Remove the mask and you'll have two images. Repeat this process over and over until you have as many images as you want!
Another fun idea from Susan? Give your flamingos a little depth by using a gray marker or pencil to draw shadows at their feet. Great idea!
We hope you enjoyed Susan's card! Want to see more of her work? Be sure to check out her Instagram feed!
