An Owl-dorable Card and Heads Up about a Sale!

Since Oregon is in the direct path for the solar eclipse, it seems all our conversations around here lately turn to where we’re going to be and what we’re going to do! When I saw this over-the-moon card created by Technique Tuesday friend Jenn Brown, it made me think again of the upcoming event. The adorable owl from the Hi There Owl stamp set is silhouetted by a shimmering “shaker moon.”

You can create a moon by cutting a circle into your card panel and placing a transparency behind it. Add confetti or sequins, and adhere the panel to your card with foam tape. Roost your owl in a stand of birch trees cut with the Birch Borders DIY steel die.  Then add depth to the tree bark by using a marker to trace over the lines in the tree trunks. Finish off the card with an inspirational saying from the nature inspired Walk in the Woods stamp set or celestial My Sun & Moon stamp set.

This napping owl better wake up soon or she’ll miss a couple big events…the once-in-our-lifetime solar eclipse and the special one day only Eclipse Sale on Technique Tuesday’s website August 21st. Be sure you’re on our newsletter list to receive all the details.
