Hi everyone!
Technique Tuesday here, and we're so excited to be a sponsor of a fun video hop that's happening today! The Cutest Video Hop Ever! Several paper crafters and their kids are joining Emily Leiphart for this fun hop celebrating 5,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel but, more importantly, inspiring the next generation of crafters! You'll get to watch them craft with their kids. Plus, the hop also features two young crafters joining on their own YouTube channels.
We'd like to invite you to sit back, relax and check out the hop. Here is a list of all the hoppers:
5. Simon Hurley
7. Laurel Beard
8. Evelin Tee
10. Laura Bassen
There are 13 prizes up for grabs during the hop, including a $25 e-Gift Cerficate for Technique Tuesday.
The winners will be randomly chosen from all comments left on each of the videos. Comments will close at 11:59 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 and winners will be announced on Emily's blog on February 24, 2017. Winners must be subscribed to her YouTube channel.
Happy hopping!
Easy Tips for Using Watercolor Crayons!
Roses, roses, roses! So many varieties and colors. This month our Greenhouse Society stamp set features a beautiful Ruffled Rose. This image of a rose in full bloom has flat petals that are perfect for many different coloring techniques and mediums.
Watch this video to see how Technique Tuesday's Tam uses watercolor crayons to layer color and create dimension. She also shows you how to add shadows to the leaves using shades of blue. Her finished rose is so realistic you can almost smell the sweet fragrance!
A Pretty Handmade Card for Valentine's Day
Hi all!
Looking for some Valentine's Day card inspiration? We've got you covered.
Here's a fun card idea from Technique Tuesday's Shelley Goff.
So pretty and classy! You agree?
This card packs a lot of punch with those metallic words and charms. Even though they look like real metal embellishments, they really aren't! They were cut from metallic and glitter papers with the Charming Hearts and Long Love steel dies. So cool!
A fun trick for the dies is you can use them on their own or you can pair them together like Shelley did. The charms can easily be hung on the love words!
You'll find more fun ideas for Valentine's Day, anniversaries and other love-themed occasions on the Technique Tuesday website. Be sure to check out our Idea Gallery.
