Story Card Sunday: Stories of Summer
Hi everyone!
Meet this week's pocket page-friendly Story Card.
Not a pocket page memory keeper? This Story Card would look great on a traditional scrapbook page or greeting card. Let me show you how to make one with Technique Tuesday's steel dies and clear stamps.
Start by doing some die-cutting.
You'll need to cut:
- 1 base card with the Story Card dies
- 3 small hearts with the Nested Hearts dies
- 1 Summer word, one sun, one pair of sunglasses and two drink glasses with the Summer dies. You'll also want to cut two more drink glasses from yellow cardstock. Discard the yellow drink glasses and save just the inner pieces.
Sponge blue ink onto your base card. I like to create movement by sponging the ink into a circle as I go.
Adhere the drink glasses, hearts, sun and sunglasses to the Story Card.
Adhere wiggle eyes to the drink glasses. Use a black pen to draw mouths. You'll also want to draw a face on the sunshine.
Adhere the "Summer" word toward the bottom of the base card. Use the Summer Adventure stamp set to stamp "Stories of" above the die-cut word.
Thinking you might want to use this Story Card on a non-Summer project? Consider stamp a love or friendship sentiment on it instead.
I hope you enjoyed these week's Story Card. Be sure to tune in next Sunday to learn how to make another one.
Love it! This card is so cute and simple...I can't wait to make one with my 6-year-old grandniece who loves lemonade. This new Summer Die set one of your best sets ever.
