A Terrific Trio of Cards!

Have you caught the planner bug? There are more than 20 great Technique Tuesday stamp sets that are perfect for decorating planners.

But did you know these planner stamps are great for making cards with too? Just check out how Jill Dewey Hawkins used some of the planner sets to make a fantastic trio of cards!

Handmade Cards by Jill Dewey Hawkins for Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comFun, huh? With cute icons and a broad range of phrases, many of the planner stamps are card-friendly!

Rather than purchasing postcards on your next trip out of town, make some cards to send out while you are on the road.

Handmade Card by Jill Dewey Hawkins for Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comFollow this simple design formula: Randomly stamp some planner stamp set icons on a strip of cardstock. Add a sentiment to the mix. Adhere the strip to a plain card and finish it off with some stitching, a piece of twine and possibly a few embellishments.

Don't limit yourself to using this design formula to make cards just to send from the beach. Use it on cards for camping trips too.

Jill used the Planner - Chow Down stamp set to make this fun coffee-themed card. Kick it up a notch by including a gift card inside for your favorite coffee shop.

Let's Plan with Ashley

Hi all!

Are you a planner? Well, I think you are going to enjoy today's post. We've got special guest Ashley Gray here with a couple of her planner pages!

Ashley is a talented planner and paper crafter, who hails from the Pacific Northwest.

Ashley Gray"My name is Ashley and I am a stay at home mom to 2 active little boys. I have many hobbies and have been crafting for 15 years. I just recently got back into card making again and stamping. Love learning all these new techniques and sharing my creations."

Stamps are a great way to decorate your planner. Just check out how Ashley used several of Technique Tuesday's planner stamps with Washi tape to decorate these two pages.

Planner Pages by Ashley Gray for Technique Tuesday//TechniqueTuesday.comOne especially fun idea from Ashley is how she stamped some of the icons from the Planner - Chores and Planner - Chow Down stamp sets with black ink. To give them a little extra personality, she colored them in.

Want to try this at home? Colored pencils are a great tool to use when coloring on planner pages because the colors won't bleed through. Another idea is to stamp onto sticker paper. Color the images in and then fussy cut the stickers so you can use them on your planner pages.

Another fun idea from Ashley can be found along the bottom of her planner pages. To plan ahead for the week's meals, she stamped the fork, knife and spoon from the Planner - Family Time set and then jotted down what the meal would be. Great idea!

To see more of Ashley's work, check out her blog and Instagram feed! And be sure to stop by again next Thursday to see something else she's made with Technique Tuesday's products. Hope to see you then!

Here one of our designers sponged ink onto a kraft card base and then added some elements stamped with the stamp set. To give the elements depth, she colored them in with markers.

Another fun idea from designer Jill Dewey Hawkins is to take one of the set's smaller images and frame it with the Photo Frame die.

To make the campfire really stand out, Jill used a white pen to draw an outline around it. Great idea!

Want your card to feel really rustic? Add a little bit of jute to it!

Not a card maker? Never fear. This stamp set would work well on scrapbook pages about your camping adventures.
