Story Card Sunday: Lessons Learned Today

Hello again!

Sunday means we've got another great Story Card to show you.

Lessons Learned Story Card from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comToday's Story Card would make the perfect addition to any scrapbook page or pocket page. Let me show you how to make one just like it.

Cut a small and large rectangle with the Clipboard dies. Cut three solid tabs and three flower tabs with Accent Tabs dies. Be sure to keep the flowers from the flower tabs. You are going to need them.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comStart by adhering the clips together like so.

I'll be back again next Sunday with another installment of Story Card Sunday. Hope to see you then!

In Need of Some Card Inspiration? Check This Out!

There are cards, and there are CARDS that make you ooh and ahh!

And today we are excited to be sharing a couple of the latter from Jill Hawkins! We're excited to have Jill as a guest designer for Technique Tuesday and will showing off some of her work here on Thursdays for the next few weeks.

Jill is a talented stamper and paper crafter with a knack for creative and clever designs. Here's a little bit about her in her own words.

"I am terrifically excited to be here, having fun with one of my favorites, Technique Tuesday! I completely adore a certain someone's style (*cough Teri cough*), so I about fell over when she hollered at me to make something!

I reside in Suburban Chicagoland, with my minimalist husband and our (unendingly) energetic son. Minimalism and crafting do not belong in the same sentence, let alone the same house. But I believe crafting supplies are the equivalent of power tools, right? Don’t ask me about my twenty different adhesives, and mum’s the word about your array of power drills. ;)

I have been into rubber stamps since I was a kid, but I kicked it up a notch with card making about 5-6 years ago. I was fortunate to have some published, and enjoy my late nights creating ever since. Though, I should definitely get more sleep. Maybe. Or not. ;)"

Hooray! We think are going to enjoy what she's made to share with you!
Thinking of You card by Jill Hawkins for Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.com(Thinking of You Leaves by Jill Hawkins. Made with the Garden Leaves and Heart Strings dies and I Like You stamp set.)

Talk about clever! Jill cut several leaves with the Garden Leaves dies and then arranged them to make a pleasant background. To keep the leaves from looking the same, she left the inner pieces in some of them and took them out of the others.

Here's another fun card!
Heart Smile Hearts card by Jill Hawkins for Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.com(Heart Smile Hearts by Jill Hawkins. Made with the Heart Strings dies and Be Happy stamp set.)

Jill made this card interesting by cutting several strings of hearts with the Heart Strings dies. Rather than using the entire string of hearts, she snipped off the ends of some of them. She also arranged them at different heights.

Thanks for sharing your cards, Jill! Tune in next Thursday to see a few more cards from Jill!
