Here in Oregon, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving later this week. One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions is taking some time to think about the blessings in my life and telling my family and friends how grateful I am for each of them. The entire Technique Tuesday team wants you to know that we are grateful for you, our valued customers. Thank you for your support and for being part of our online community!
It's time for another edition of Story Card Sunday. This week's pocket page-friendly Story Card pays tribute to the upcoming holiday season.
You like? Hope so!
Let me show you how you can make one like it.
Start by cutting a base card with the Story Card dies. Cut 5 labels from green cardstock with the Rectangle Labels dies. Cut a small star with the Nested Stars dies and a small heart with the Nested Hearts dies.
Stamp a word or phrase onto the Story Card. The word I used is from the Poinsettia Wishes stamp set.
While this Story Card fits many of the major pocket scrapbook pages out there, it would also work on a traditional scrapbook page and on a greeting card. It would also be fun to create several of these Story Cards and decorate a Christmas tree with them.
Thanks for tuning in. See you again next Sunday!
PS. Time's running out to snag Technique Tuesday's retiring products at a steep discount. You can now get our retiring stamps and dies for an astounding 60% off. We are not making any more of the retiring products. When they are gone, they are gone. Go here to see what's on sale and to find the coupon code to get the discount.

Want to add some pops of light and color to your Thanksgiving table, Christmas mantel, or home decor throughout the year? In this video, you'll learn how to use the new Happy Home steel dies to create a tiny tea light house or make an entire village.
It's time for another installment of Story Card Sunday. Today's Story Card is all about love!
Read on to learn how you can make one like it to use in a pocket page or on a traditional scrapbook page or greeting card.
Start by doing some die-cutting. You are going to need to cut one of each of these shapes:
- A base card with the Story Card dies
- A tag with the This Tag dies
- A heart and globe stand with the Here Globe dies
- A word with the Let's Go dies
- A circle with the Circles dies
Now you are going to do some stamping. Turn the base card sideways and stamp "somewhere together" (from the Pack Your Bags stamp set) on the far right side of the card. This Story Card will be a tight fit so it's important you stamp as close to the edge as you can.
Adhere the tag right next to the words and stamp "Let's go..." (from the On Vacation stamp set) on it.
Adhere the globe base to the card.
I'll be back again next week with another Story Card Sunday tutorial to share with you. Hope to see you then!
Who says Christmas cards have to use traditional colors?! Check out this cool idea from Birgit Edblom.
Wondering what stamp set Birgit used to make her card? She used the Holly - Greenhouse Society stamp set. This is a fun one to use to make handmade cards with all Winter long.
