Story Card Sunday: From the Heart

Hi everyone!

It's time for another Story Card Sunday tutorial, and I can't wait to show you a new way to use your steel dies!

First, let me introduce you to this week's Story Card.

From the Heart Story Card by TechniqueTuesday.comLike many of the Story Cards we feature on Sunday, this one is pocket page-friendly. It would also look swell on a traditional scrapbook page or greeting card.

Let me show you how you can make one just like it.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comStart by cutting a base card with the Story Card dies. Cut a small rectangle with the Pocket of Love dies.

Set the base card onto top of the Chain of Flowers by Cath Edvalson die with the cutting side up. Take a crayon and rub it over the pattern. You'll get something that looks like this.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comFun, huh? Move the die down and repeat last step. To kick your Story Card up a notch, use a different crayon.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comRepeat the crayon rubbing process over and over until you've covered your entire Story Card with the flower pattern.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comStamp a sentiment onto the small rectangle. The one I used is from the Hello Darling stamp set.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comAdhere the rectangle to your base card. To give it extra pop, use foam adhesive to adhere it.

Finish the Story Card by adding a few gems or enamel dots to it.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comTune in next Sunday for another fun tutorial! Hope you will consider coming back!

Wishing You a Season of Joy

Hello, Technique Tuesday fans!

Teri here, and I'm excited to bring you some Christmas card inspiration from Tobi Crawford today.

A Season of Joy by Tobi Crawford for TechniqueTuesday.comIs this a cool card or what?!

And don't you love the artistic look of the trees? Tobi created the look by inking up the tree from the Season of Joy stamp set and then spritzing it lightly with water before stamping it. She repeated the steps a couple times to make her trio of trees.

The card's sentiment also comes from the Season of Joy stamp set. One of the things I just love about this stamp set is you can use the words in this stamp set on their own or pair them with the phrase to make a truly custom sentiment for your card.

Story Card Sunday: Hello Fun

Hi all!

Halloween's almost here so this week's Story Card has a spooky twist!

Hello Fun Story Card by TechniqueTuesday.comOK. Maybe it's not that spooky... wink!

But this Halloween-inspired Story Card is pocket page-friendly. And it would also look swell on a traditional scrapbook page or greeting card.

Start by cutting a base card with the Story Card dies and a circle card with Simply Circles die. Cut a large circle with the Circles dies, as well as a Hello Circle and "fun" with the Hello Circle dies. Cut a small and pinked circle with Flair Maker dies.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comLay the circle card onto the base card. If you've used the same color of cardstock, you'll end up with an embossed look.

Add the large circle and the Hello Circle to the card.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comAdd the small circle to the pinked circle. Adhere them to the Story Card. Add the fun word on top.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comFinish off your Story Card with a couple brads or enamel dots. If you'd like a little twinkle, use gems or sequins.

Come back again next week for another installment of Story Card Sunday. Hope to see you then.

PS. Are you a digital die-cutter? We have a number of digital cut files available!

Saying Thanks with I Am Thankful

Wondering what you can do with the I Am Thankful stamp set? Here are just a few of the phrases you can make by combining the different stamps together.

I Am Thankful clear stamp set from TechniqueTuesday.comConsider using this stamp set set for scrapbook pages about your family and friends and Thanksgiving celebrations. Use it to make cards to thank those who you love and those who have touched your heart.

Another fun idea for this set is to use it to create a gratitude mini book like we did here.

Thankful Mini Book from TechniqueTuesday.comCreate one like it to document all the reasons you are thankful for during the month of November. Create pages for the book from photos and cardstock cut with the Story Card dies. Bind the pages together with a binding ring from the office supply store.

Thankful Mini Book from TechniqueTuesday.comUse the I Am Thankful stamp set, as well as the Planner - Thanks stamp set and Grateful dies, to decorate the book's pages.
