Story Card Sunday: Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone!

Sunday means it is time for a brand new Story Card. And I think you'll find this week's Story Card to be irresistible!

A Story Card from TechniqueTuesday.comThis week's Story Card features an embossed resist technique. It's so fun!

Let me show you how you can do the technique while making a Story Card like this one with Technique Tuesday's steel dies and clear stamps.

Start by die-cutting a base card with the Story Card steel dies from watercolor paper. You'll also want to a cut a label from the Classic Label Card dies from cardstock.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comStamp a flower onto the Story Card with watermark ink. (I'm using the Agapanthus - Greenhouse Society stamp set.) Sprinkle embossing powder on top. Shake away the excess. Melt the remaining powder with an embossing gun.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comSpritz the panel with a light misting of water. Use watercolors to spread paint onto the panel.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comUse a paper towel to pat dry the panel and remove some of the color so the panel isn't so bright.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comYou'll end up with something like this.

Planning with Laura

Hi all!

Are you a planner? Do you get inspired by how other folks decorate their planners? Step right up to be inspired by Laura O'Donnell today as she shares a page from her planner.

Take it away, Laura!

Planner Journal by Laura O'Donnell for

"This is a Bullet Journal page. There is a short video at which details the system for anyone that's interested in learning more about it.

The first page of every month lists the days and all of your appointments. This is my June page. The small size of these planner stamps are a perfect fit for the grid lines. And I think the alphas look great if they're stamped a little bit askew. You really can't mess these up!

The book itself is a Moleskine style notebook so stamps are a great way to embellish the pages without adding bulk. I'm using pigment inks that dry quickly and also don't bleed through the paper."

Laura used a number of Technique Tuesday clear stamp sets on her planner page. Here's a complete list:
