Story Card Sunday: Celebrate Star Shaker

Hello everyone!

It's Sunday, which means it is time for Story Card Sunday. Please meet this week's Story Card.

Celebrate Star Shaker Story Card from

It's not just a Story Card. It's a shaker! Let me show you how you can make one just like with Technique Tuesday's clear stamps and steel dies.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comStart by cutting a base card with the This Tag steel dies, as well as a circle from cardstock and a circle from a transparency with the Circles steel dies. You'll also want to cut a base card with the Story Card dies.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comNow, you are going to cut one more circle. This time, you are set a circle onto cardstock. And then set the medium star from the Nested Stars steel dies onto it. Use a little Washi tape (or Painter's tape) to hold the dies in place and then run them through your die-cutting machine. Remove the star and adhere the circle to the transparency circle.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comFlip the circle over. Add foam adhesive all around it. Dump some sequins in the middle of foam adhesive.

Place the other circle on top of the foam adhesive. You'll end up with a shaker! Set the shaker aside.

Adhere the tag to the Story Card base.

Adhere a sentiment from the Smile Borders stamp set onto a clear stamping block. Mask off part of the sentiment with tape.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comInk up the stamp. Remove the tape and stamp! Only the inked up area will stamp.

I'll be back again next week with another Story Card. Hope to see you then.

Eeeek! So much fun! I love it! Gotta go make some!!!

Awesome shaker card!

This card is just fabulous! I have a confession to make: I love shaker cards but have never attempted to make one. I'm on vacation this week and this card has inspired me to give it a shot!
