A Flower Card from Birgit

We interrupt the regularly scheduled Technique Tuesday for a pretty card alert!

Check out this gorgeous card Birgit Edblom created with the latest Greenhouse Society stamp set, Rhododendron.

A card by Birgit Edblom for TechniqueTuesday.comWhat a stunning card! Don't you love how she "framed" the flower? She did that by using three frames die-cut with the Perfect Picture - Fresh Cut Studio steel dies and then adding a little color to their centers.

Story Card Sunday: Wow Moment

Hello all!

Please give it up for today's Story Card.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comLike many of the Story Cards we feature on Sundays, this one is pocket page-friendly. It would also look swell on a traditional scrapbook page or greeting card.

Here's how you can make one like it.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comStart by die-cutting a base card, a paper panel, one star, one clip and three pieces of tape with the Clipboard steel dies. Use the Wow Moment steel die to cut a phrase.

Use the Grid stamp to stamp a grid pattern onto the paper panel. I used a really light gray ink pad. You may want to consider a light blue, brown or red pad.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.com A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comAdhere the clip to the paper panel.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comPlace the tape pieces onto the Story Card. Lightly spread glue on the back of the sentiment. Adhere it to the Story Card.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comMount the star onto the Story Card.

Finish the Story Card off by adding some gems, enamel dots or sequins!

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comAnd that wraps things up for this week's Story Card.

I'll be back again next Sunday with another Story Card Sunday tutorial for you! Hope to see you then.

Story Card Sunday: Happy Birthday

Hi all!

Sunday means it is time for a new Story Card, and I've got one with a birthday twist for you this week.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comLike many of the Story Cards we feature, this one is pocket page-friendly. It would also look great on a traditional scrapbook page or greeting card.

Here's how you can make one like it.

Cut a base card with the Story Card steel dies. Cut two rectangles with the Hexagon - Fresh Cut Studio dies, a word with the Say It - Birthday steel dies and three stars with the Nested Stars dies.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.com

Take one of the hexagon dies and die-cut "happy" into it with the Straight Talk - Happy steel die

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comThe word won't cut all the way across the hexagon so you'll need to use your scissors to snip the ends.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.com
Now, you are going to lay the "happy" hexagon on top of the other hexagon. Adhere the "birthday" word on top of the hexagons. Place the completed hexagon on your base card.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.com
Adhere the stars to the base card. Stamp a sentiment over the words with A Reason to Party clear stamp set like so.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comFinish the Story Card off by adhering a gem or enamel dot over the "i" in "birthday."

And there you have it! That is a wrap for this week's Story Card Sunday. Tune in next week to see a brand new Story Card.
