A Fun Card from Jaclyn

Hello all!

Looking for a card inspiration? Check out this fun, out-of-the-box card Jaclyn Miller made with the new Love Bug Jar stamp set and Just Sayin steel dies!

I just love those flowers! Jaclyn created them with mini corks and wire and then stuck them in a jar stamped with the Love Bug Jar stamp set. So cool!

And what a fun touch the tag with the stamped words (also from the Love Bug Jar stamp set) makes! Love that!

Like Borders? Watch This!

Technique Tuesday's new border stamps and dies were a hit at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) show a couple weeks ago!

You can use the new Birthday Borders and Smile Borders stamp sets along the edge of your craft projects. Or stamp them on the very popular Pull Strip steel die. We thought you might enjoy seeing the slideshow featuring the new border stamp sets that was showing in our booth at CHA.

Story Card Sunday: What

Hey all!

Hooray! It's time for another Story Card Sunday.

Please say hello to this week's Story Card.

Valentine's Day is just a couple weeks away so I think it would be fun this week to make a love-inspired journaling card. Imagine using this pocket page-friendly journaling card to document date night, a wedding or some other special occasion.

Let me show you how you can make one like it.

Start by cutting a base card with Technique Tuesday's Story Card DIY Steel Dies. You'll also want to cut one What frame and one center with the What Where When steel dies and one heart with the Nested Hearts steel dies. 

Use the horizontal lines from the Travel Log stamp set to stamp lines onto the frame's center portion.

Adhere the frame and center onto the base card. Poke holes around the inside of the frame. Sew a line of floss through the holes like so.

Finish the Story Card off by adding a heart in the lower right corner. Embellish it with either a brad, gem or enamel dot.

Simple Birthday Treats

Hi all!

Planning a birthday party? Looking for a quick and easy favor to give your party guests?

Check out these little treat cups I made for guests at a recent birthday party. They took just minutes to make. Yes, really! They were that easy! 

While I filled my little cups with candy. you could easily fill them up mints, seeds or some kind of other yummy treat instead.

I found the plastic treat cups at the dollar store. I think I got 8 or 10 cups for a dollar! It was a deal.

I stamped each of the circle elements with stamps from Technique Tuesday's Extra Sprinkles stamp set. 

I stamped the words on red cardstock. And then I stamped a couple images on white cardstock and colored them in with pencils.

I used Technique Tuesday's Circles steel dies to cut them out. Don't have the dies? That's OK. The large circles in the stamp set work with a 1 3/4" circle punch. The small images work with a 1" circle punch.

I adhered the circles together and then placed them onto the plastic lids with foam dots. 

After that, I filled each container with treats and sealed them up. If you wanted to make your favors a little fancier, you could tie some twine around each container and add some gems or enamel dots to the top.

Story Card Sunday: Wow Moment

Hello again!

Please meet this week's Story Card.

This pocket page-friendly Story Card was easy to make with Technique Tuesday's DIY Steel Dies. Let me show you how you can make one like it for your scrapbooks.

Start by cutting a base card with the Story Card DIY Steel Dies. Cut two frames and three frame centers with the Hello Pocket steel dies. You'll also want to cut one sentiment with the Wow Moment steel die.

 Place the two frames on the base card like so.

Add two frame centers. Slightly layer them as you adhere them.

Add the third frame center and the sentiment to your Story Card.

Poke two holes into the base card. Bring some twine or floss through them. Tie a bow in the front of the Story Card.

And with that, this Story Card is a wrap!
