Story Card Sunday: Giving Thanks

Hello all!

Sunday means it is a time for another installment in our Story Card Sunday series. Today's Story Card has a thankful twist to it.

Let me show you how to make one like it!

Start by cutting two base cards with the Story Card DIY Steel Dies. One should be cut from paper. A second should be cut from a non-traditional material like cork.

Let's now do some stamping.

Take a couple of the leaves from the Falling Leaves stamp set. Flip them so the backside is facing up on your stamping block. Ink them up and stamp them all over the paper Story Card.

Don't worry if the inking isn't perfect. That will just add to the charm of this Story Card.

Clean the stamps and now flip them over so the right side is facing up. Ink them with black ink and stamp slightly over the shadows.

Adhere the card at an angle like so to the cork card.

Trim the excess. Stamp a sentiment onto the Story Card.

And there you have it!

If you decide you want a little extra pop, consider adding some gems or a brad next to the sentiment.

I'll be back again next week with another Story Card. Hope to see you then!

What a fab story card! Like your brightly colored stamped leaves. As well, the cork looks fantastic as the base. :)
