We meet again, friends!
It's time for another installment in the Story Card Sunday series. Can you believe this post is the 52nd Story Card we've featured here on the Technique Tuesday blog? Yes, we've been bringing out a pocket page-friendly Story Card every Sunday for a whole year. Time sure flies!
So let me show you this week's Story Card.
This Story Card is not just pocket page-friendly. It would also look good on a traditional scrapbook page or greeting card.
It is also super easy to make with steel dies and clear stamps from Technique Tuesday. Let me show you how you can make one like it.
Start by cutting two base cards with Story Card DIY Steel Dies. One should be from cardstock while the other should be from patterned paper.
You'll should also cut a label with the Folding Banners - Fresh Cut Studio steel dies.
Now you are going to want to pull out the base card cut from cardstock. Set the Straight Talk - Fabulous die on top of it. Use a little Washi tape (or Painter's tape) to hold it in place and then run it through your die-cutting machine.
After you've cut the word, use your scissors to finish the cut all the way across your Story Card. You should end up with something that looks like this.
Set a sticky note over part of the Story Card and then sponge ink over the word. Continuing sponging on ink until the exposed part of the card is completely covered with ink.
Remove the sticky note. You'll end up with something like this.
Adhere the card to the base card cut from patterned paper. Stamp the "you are" phrase from the Say It 2 - Fabulous stamp set onto the label. Adhere it to the card. Trim the excess.
Finish the card off by tying on some twine. Hold it in place with staples. Add a gem or two.
And that's a wrap!
I'll be again next Sunday to give you another Story Card how-to. I hope to see you then.
