July 2014

Hi all!

Teri here. The Technique Tuesday team is "so, so close" to revealing their Summer release. I must admit that I am having a hard time containing my excitement about all the new clear stamps and steel dies! Bev, TT's founder and CEO, is on a camping trip with her family this weekend. And Tena, TT's operations manager, is at a music festival. I don't think either of them have internet access so I'm going to leak a few sneak peeks. I hope these projects (made by the sneaky Technique Tuesday Creative Team) excite you as much as they do me!

During the next couple weeks while Bev and Tena are busy getting ready for the Summer release, I'll try to squeeze in a couple more sneak peeks here on the blog. Story Card Sunday: Our Week

Hello all!

On your mark. Get set. Say hello to this week's Story Card.

2_scs_39_ourweekThis pocket page-friendly Story Card was easy to make with clear stamps and steel dies from Let me show you how I did it.

Start by cutting a base card using the Story Card die. You will also want to cut several flags using the Fresh Cut Studio Flair Maker steel dies.

Scs_39_1You might find your cardstock sticks in some of the flag dies. Flip the dies over and you'll see a couple holes. Use a stick pin or piercing tool to push the paper out.

Using the Flair Maker steel dies, cut one decorative circle and one plain circle. Stamp a phrase using any of our Flair sized stamp sets on top. (The one I used is from Family Flair, June's Memory Keepers Studio stamp set.)

Scs_39_3Now comes the fun part: Assembly.

Arrange the flags in three rows. Put some upside down to make it a little more visually interesting. Stack the circles together. Place them toward the bottom of the Story Card. Finish the Story Card off by adding some gems or enamel dots to it.

2_scs_39_ourweekAnd there you have it! I'll be back next Sunday with another Story Card! Hope you will come back.

Happy 4th of July!

Take two amazing paper crafters.

Add Technique Tuesday's Nested Stars DIY Stars steel dies and My Hero clear stamp set.

And get two super cards for the 4th of July!

Freedom by Daniela Dobson

Isn't this card by Daniela Dobson so cool?! I love how she double cut the white star with our Nested Stars DIY Steel dies by cutting two dies at the same time.

And check out this card Jaclyn Miller made.

Sure love how Jaclyn used the My Hero stamp set to stamp some of the stars. They look awesome!

Wishing all of you a happy 4th of July!

Studio AE is Becoming Memory Keepers Studio

We have some news at Technique Tuesday.

First, the company’s Studio AE™ program is becoming Memory Keepers Studio™. During the last year the company has received a number of suggestions from Studio AE members and we have decided that it is a good time to implement many of those ideas. Like Studio AE, the new Memory Keepers Studio program will feature a monthly stamp set created with traditional scrapbookers and pocket page memory keepers in mind. Crafters who become members in the Memory Keepers Studio auto-ship program will enjoy a 25% off the Memory Keepers Studio stamp set, additional discounts on selected products each month, the convenience of an auto-ship program, and products designed by a number of artists and in a wider variety of  themes and styles. Non-members will be able to purchase the Memory Keepers Studio stamp sets by checking the company’s website on the first of each month or asking for them at their favorite retailer.

The first Memory Keepers Studio stamp set is Family Flair. It will start shipping on July 10th. You can see our August and September Memory Keepers Studio stamp sets here.

Second, Technique Tuesday has seen significant customer interest in die cutting products. Technique Tuesday has launched a new program called Fresh Cut Studio™. The Fresh Cut Studio program will feature steel dies that are released each month. The Fresh Cut Studio dies are designed to let crafters make accents for pocket page layouts, traditional scrapbook pages, and cards. In addition to working stand-alone, the Fresh Cut Studio dies are also designed to match and complement the Memory Keepers Studio stamp sets. Like the Memory Keepers Studio program, customers may choose to become members of the Fresh Cut Studio auto-ship program or can purchase the new steel dies individually.

We'd like to introduce you to Flair Maker, our first Fresh Cut Studio dies. You can see August and September's dies here.

Finally, as the company has been working on these new programs, Technique Tuesday CEO, Bev Grey, and Ali Edwards, have decided that it is time to move in new and different directions.

“During the last 6 years of collaborating with Ali, we have designed and manufactured many stamp sets and journaling products based on Ali’s digital artwork. With so many wonderful designs already in the hands of papercrafters, both Ali and I agree that it is time to change things up and move in separate directions,” says Bev. “Although Technique Tuesday will not be releasing new products with Ali, I value the relationship we’ve built with Ali and wish her the best in her new endeavors. I am so excited about the new Memory Keepers Studio and Fresh Cut Studio programs. I am also looking forward to sharing our summer product release with you in late July!”

“I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Technique Tuesday over the last 6 years,” says Ali. “Their attention to detail and quality is something I appreciate and I wish them nothing but the best. I'm looking forward to the next evolution of the Ali Edwards brand and will release details in the coming months via”
