Story Card Sunday: Love You Shaker

Hello again!

Story Card Sunday means it is time for a brand new pocket page-friendly Story Card.

Not a pocket page memory keeper? That's OK. This Story Card would also look great on a traditional scrapbook page or greeting card.

Let me show you how to make one like it.

Start by placing the Story Card DIY Steel Die and a circle (from our Circles steel dies) on a piece of cardstock. Use a piece of decorative tape (or Painter's tape) to hold the dies in place as you run them through your die-cutting machine.

You'll end up with something that looks like this.

Now cut two base cards with the Story Card die. One should be cut from vellum. The other should be cut from cardstock.

Scs_37_3

Adhere the vellum card to the circle card.

You'll get something that looks like this.

Scs_37_5

Flip the card over. Place foam tape all the way around the circle. You'll also want to put it elsewhere on the card.

Scs_37_6

Dump sequins in the opening.

Scs_37_7

Adhere the second cardstock card onto the tape. You'll end up with something that looks like this.

Scs_37_8

Die-cut "love you" (from the Say It - Love DIY Steel Dies from Technique Tuesday) from cardstock. Snip apart the two words.

Scs_37_9

Finish the Story Card by adhering the words and some additional sequins to it.

And there you have it!

I'll be back again next week with another Story Card for you.
