Story Card Sunday: Awesome Arrow

Woohoo! It is Story Card Sunday once again!

This week's Story Card may require digging into your favorite child's toy box, but I can assure you that it's a fun one to make.

Like all the Story Cards we feature on Story Card Sunday, this one would work great in a pocket page. It would also look good on traditional scrapbook page or greeting card.

Let me show you how to make one like it.

Start by cutting two base cards with our Story Card DIY Steel Dies. Cut one frame with our Scalloped Die Card DIY Steel Dies.

Set the frame on scratch paper. Use crayons to scribble color onto it. Not a fan of crayons? Use markers or pencils instead.

Adhere the frame to one of the base cards. Stamp a sentiment on it. I used one from Technique Tuesday's Everything Pocket Page stamp set.

Adhere the frame card to the other base card at an angle. Add an arrow cut with the arrow from the Heart Card DIY Steel Dies to it.

Trim away any excess.

Finish the Story Card off by adding a few enamel dots or gems onto the arrow.

That's all for this week. I hope to see you next Sunday!

So fun!

The flowers are from our Poppy Sentiments stamp set. They sure look pretty embossed with white embossing powder.

And that sentiment? That is Tobi's card making expertise at work! Tobi created her custom sentiment by mixing together stamps from our So Very Thankful by Ali Edwards stamp set with our Handwritten by Ali Edwards, Alphabet Medium stamp set

Technique-Tuesday-Handwritten-Ali-Edwards-Alphabet-Medium-Clear-Stamps-MediumSo clever!

PS. You''ll also find some fantastic Mother's Day card inspiration from Jaclyn and Daniela! And this card from Tobi would also make a great card for Mom!

A Flower Card to Brighten the Day

If you ask me, there is nothing quite like getting a bunch of flowers to make the day a bit nicer.

And I think flower-inspired card from Tobi Crawford is going to make someone's day a whole lot nicer and a whole bunch brighter.

Ooh la la!

Don't you just love all those rows of flowers?! Tobi stamped them with our Messages From The Heart stamp set

Tobi created the sentiment strip by taking some of phrases from the set and stamping them randomly on a strip of cardstock.

Well done, Tobi!

A Cool Card for Mom from Jaclyn

Hello all!
Mother's Day is... gasp... this weekend. Have you made a card for the mother in your life yet?
Don't worry! We've got some card making inspiration from Stamping Tech Jaclyn Miller to help get you going.
Is Jaclyn's circle cool or what?! She made it by stamping the small heart from the Kiss by Ali Edwards stamp set over and over with different ink colors.
And talk about clever! She made her own "mom" word by using the "wow" word from our Memo Pad Card DIY Steel Dies upside down.
The "love you" phrase is from our Say It - Love You DIY Steel Dies.
Thanks for the inspiration, Jaclyn!

Story Card Sunday: Good Job

Hello all!

It is time for another Story Card Sunday. You might say today's Story Card is a mixture of die-cutting and glitter goodness.

Mmm... sparkly glitter.

Like all our Story Card Sunday projects, this one is pocket page-friendly. It would also work swell on a traditional scrapbook page or card.

Let me show you how to make one like it.

Start by cutting a base card from cardstock with the Story Card DIY Steel Dies. Cover the base with a strong two-way adhesive that will work with glitter.

You'll also want to cut an assortment of stars with the star dies from the Cool Tab Card DIY Steel Dies.

Remove the adhesive backing sheet and adhere the stars randomly all over the base card. Once you have completely adhered the stars, dump fine glitter on top of the card.

Shake off the excess glitter. You'll end up with something like this.

Now cut a frame with our Cool Tab Card Steel Dies

Cut off the tab so you get something that looks like this.

Die-cut a label. Stamp a sentiment on it. (I used a phrase from the Everything Pocket Page stamp set.) Tie twine or ribbon around the label.

Finish the Story Card by adhering the label to it. Cut off the end of the label. To give the label added dimension, mount it with foam adhesive.

The end result will be something like this.

2_scs_31_goodjob_teriI'll be back next Sunday with another Story Card. Hope to see you then.
