Story Card Sunday: It Was...

Hello again!

It is great to see you again for another installment in our Story Card Sunday series. This is this week's Story Card.

This card is super easy to make! Let me show you how you can make one just like it.

Start by cutting two base cards with our Story Card DIY Steel Dies and one frame with our This Arrow DIY Steel Dies.

Now you want to cut two arrows using the arrow die from the This Arrow steel dies. Cut one arrow from vellum and the other from thin cork. If you don't have any cork, consider trying an unusual material like sandpaper or craft foam to cut it from.

Now it is the time for the fun stuff: Assembly!

Place the vellum arrow on the frame. Use a piercing tool to poke holes through the arrow and frame. Sew a line of floss through the holes.

Adhere the frame onto the white base card. Stamp a sentiment. I used a phrase from Technique Tuesday's Darn Good Day stamp set

Adhere the entire card to the second base card like so. Snip off off the excess with your scissors.

Place the cork arrow at the top of the card.

And your finished Story Card should look something like this.

Hope to see you again next week for the next Story Card Sunday!

A Chatty Card from Sharyn

And here we are with one final photo project to share this week!

And, boy, I think you are going to get a kick out of this one from Sharyn Tormanen.

On your mark. Get set. Go!

Giggle, giggle! So, so fun!

I love how Sharyn cut out the picture of her son. And check out that stamped speech bubble (created with our Blah Blah Blah stamp set). It really does look like he is talking!

In addition to our Blah Blah Blah stamp set, Sharyn used our Williamsburg Alphabet Small stamp set on this card. They work so well together!

Thanks for tuning in this week. It's been a lot of fun sharing our Creative Team's photo projects with you!

A Sweet Card from Ashley

Hooray! We made it to Friday!

I hope you have been enjoying our week of Technique Tuesday projects with photos on them. We've got a sweet photo card from Ashley Harris to share with you today.

What a cutie pie! I could totally see putting a card like Ashley's together for a child to send to a grandparent or a favorite aunt or uncle!

Love that grid panel on Ashley's card. She made it herself by stamping our Grid stamp on white cardstock and then cutting it out. (Not a fan of fussy cutting? Then try using our Grid stamp with the Story Card steel die. The stamp is designed to work perfectly with that die.)

And how fun are all those extra design elements she added?! She created many of them herself with our DIY Steel Dies. The arrows were cut with our Heart Card steel die, while the "sweet" word is from our Scalloped Card steel die. The heart was cut with one of the hearts from our Puffy Heart - Trio steel die

Good job, Ashley!

We'll be sharing one more photo project on Saturday!

A Well Done Pocket Page from Laura

We meet again!

And today we've got a fantastic pocket page with a lot of pictures from Laura O'Donnell!

Laura's pocket pages are alway so fun to look at. Can you believe Laura used eight pictures on this one? Wow!

Laura said, "It's a Project Life page from a week in the fall where I printed the pictures but then never put the page together."

PLweek432 (1)

I love this picture of Laura! The tiny stars (cut with the Cool Tab Card steel die) are such a fun touch!

And check out the "Busy, Busy" Story Card she created next it. She used the Cool Tab Card steel die again. This time she die-cut a picture and frame with it. The flag was created with a die from our Story Card steel die and a couple stamps from the Look At This stamp set

Another fun element from Laura's page is the arrow Story Card.

She created it by pairing together our Explore Arrows by Ali Edwards stamp set with the That Arrow Card steel die. Love the combination!

We'll share another fantastic project with a photo on here on the Technique Tuesday blog tomorrow! Hope to see you then!

Look At This Page by Tanis

Happy Wednesday!

Can you handle another photo project from our Technique Tuesday Creative Team?

I hope so because we've got a fabulous page from Tanis Giesbrecht to share with you today.

2. 4. 6. 8. Go!

WOW! What a beautiful picture!

Tanis did a great job drawing attention to her picture by including some elements stamped with the Look At This stamp set.

Her use of arrows and triangles definitely make you look at the pretty picture!

The words Tanis used on her page are from the This Day Was by Ali Edwards stamp set

Way to go, Tanis!

We'll be back again Thursday with another photo project from one of our Creative Team members.

Here's Some Good Stuff by Linda

Hello again!

Tuesday means another great photo project from a Technique Tuesday Creative Team member. Today's project comes from Linda Barber.

Looks tasty!

One of my favorite elements of Linda's page is the banner up top.

She made it by stamping the "Good Stuff" stamp by the Weekly Review by Ali Edwards stamp set onto cardstock. She colored it in, cut it to look like a flag and then drew a few lines additional with a black pen.

Such a clever idea!

Linda also used our I Like You stamp set on her page. She stamped a phrase from the set at the bottom of her journaling block and a star right onto the picture.

Nice job, Linda! Tune in tomorrow for another project made with a photo (or two) from one of our Creative Team members.

Ps. Who won the $100 prize packages we gave away through the Technique Tuesday newsletter? The winners are: Kim Chenez and Lynda Regan. Michelle sent both of you an email about your prizes!

A Lovely Page by Daniela

Got photos? Well, you've come to the right place for ideas on how to use them on scrapbook pages and cards.

We're sharing some great ideas this week from the Technique Tuesday Creative Team. We'll be sharing projects every day this week that use... you guessed it... a photo or two.

We're kicking this party off with a lovely layout by Daniela Dobson.

This memory by Daniela Dobson

Don't you just love that picture of Daniela and her son? So, so sweet!

Daniela has such a knack of mixing and matching different elements together. What she did on this page is no exception.

I love how she stamped the "This memory..." phrase (from the Your Choice by Ali Edwards stamp set) on a journaling card. It looks like they were made to go together, even though they weren't! So cool!

And check out the neat "Love This" arrow she stamped with the Ali Arrows by Ali Edwards stamp set.

I would have never guessed she stamped and fussy cut it. And, gosh, how fun are all those elements she included around it?! A lot of fun, if you ask me. Great job, Daniela!

Tune in tomorrow for another fun project that one of our Creative Team members has made with photos.
