Dress Up Halloween Treats

The countdown is on: Halloween is now just two weeks away!

Lori Vliegen has a great idea for dressing up a bag of Halloween candy: Put a tag on it!

LV boo tag
Lori sauced up this bag of candy corn with a one-of-a-kind tag. Lori stamped it with images from her Boo stamp set from Technique Tuesday.

Hello, Christmas Cards!

Here is a classy solution for this year's Christmas cards, courtesy of Linda Barber!

Create a photo card and then embellish it with stamps!

Linda.ChristmasDay

Linda decorated her family's picture up by tying a piece of twine around it and then adding a couple stamped images from Technique Tuesday's Christmas Day by Ali Edwards stamp set.

This would be such a great card to mass produce. Stamp up a bunch of elements, print a bunch of pictures and then create your cards assembly style!

Story Card Sunday: Hello Arrow

Woot! Sunday means the next installment in the Story Card Sunday series!

Here is today's Story Card.

1_Scs_HelloArrow1_teriAnd here is how you can make one like it for your pocket-style scrapbook pages!

Start by die-cutting the That Arrow Card die from yellow cardstock. You'll get something like this.

1_Scs_2_step1_teri
Set aside the center piece for another project. You'll only use the frame for this Story Card.

Cut a base from white cardstock with the Story Card die.

1_scs_2_step2_teriFlip the yellow arrow frame over. Cut two strips of cardstock. Adhere them behind the arrow.

1_scs_2_step3_teriFlip it over and you'll have something like this.

1_scs_2_step4_teriMount the completed frame to the base.

Finish your Story Card off by either die-cutting a word or stamping one onto the arrow!

1_Scs_HelloArrow1_teriWe'll be back next Sunday with another Story Card!

Thinking Halloween

It is hard to believe Halloween is only three weeks away.

I still need to pick out my costume and figure what candy to give the neighborhood kids this year. I also want to send some cards to a few special friends to celebrate the big day.

Since time is of the essence, I think I might borrow some inspiration from Lori Vliegen.

Boy, am I inspired by this card Lori made with her Broom Riders stamp set!

LV broom rider card

The hat and broom plus that fun sentiment sure puts a smile on my face! And, boy, the twine is the perfect accent!

You can find Broom Riders by Lori Vliegen on the Technique Tuesday Web site and in some stores. Not at your local store? Ask them to get it in stock.
