Stamp spotlight: Petal Power

We are shining the spotlight today on one of our newest stamp sets: Petal Power.

Technique-Tuesday-Petal-Power-Clear-Stamps-MediumNow some of you might think that it is not a new set. Believe it or not, it is!

As part of the 10-year anniversary of Technique Tuesday, we are bringng back some of the most popular products of the last 10 years. This set is a new version of our classic "Loves Me, Loves Not" and "Loves Me Still" sets.

We chose some of our favorite petals from those sets and included them in Petal Power. We've also added a few new petals. And we've resized the petals  a bit so they fit nicely on greeting cards, but still make a statement on layouts and home decor projects.

In honor of Petal Power, here's our Creative Team with some sweet projects made with it!

An "Eggs-cellent" Photo Inspiration Challenge

We at Technique Tuesday love a good challenge!

And, so with Easter almost here, we tossed out this Easter-themed photo and asked our Creative Team to make something inspired by it.

We think you'll find the results to be quite "eggs-cellent"!

IMGP2999Tobi Crawford drew color inspiration from the Easter eggs. She completed all the stamping with our Banner Up stamp set.

Happy easter tag by Daniela Dobson

Daniela Dobson created this Easter tag, inspired by the Easter theme of the photograph. She used three Technique Tuesday stamp sets: Easter Seal; Seal Companion - Winner and Studio AE - Beauty of Spring by Ali Edwards - March 2012.

Charlene Austin took literal inspiration from the photo, creating her very own basket from cardstock for her card. She made her flowers with our Technique Tiles - Scalloped Circles. She used watercolor crayons to give each flower a little bit of color. She finished her card off with a sentiment from the Bring on the Sun by Ali Edwards stamp set.

What fun card by Laura O'Donnell! Laura took color inspiration from the photo for her card. She created this sweet scene with the Happyville - Cars stamp set.

Teri created a pastel-themed card, inspired by the colors of the Easter eggs in the photo. She used two of our stamp sets: Simplify by Lori Vliegen and Say It With Circles.

Nice work, ladies!

Memory Keeping with Ashley

One of the things I love about scrapbooking is documenting the things I admire most about the people I love.

There's just something about putting that down in my scrapbooks so that one day they'll open them up and read just how how much I look up to them.

Today, we've got Ashley Harris here with a scrapbook page she made that does just that.

"Andrew is such an amazing big brother. I really wanted to highlight this special quality about him. I think this photo did just that and was a perfect fit."

Ashley created the banner with by stamping flags from the Banner Up stamp set, cutting them out and then hanging them on twine.

Technique-Tuesday-Banner-Up-Clear-Stamps-MediumShe created a second design element for her layout by stamping one of the arrows from the Seriously Rad stamp set on cardstock and then cutting it out. To give it extra pop, she adhered it onto her layout with foam adhesive.

Thanks for sharing your page today, Ashley!

10 Years of Technique Tuesday

This year marks the 10 year anniversary of Technique Tuesday.

And we thank you for your continuous support and loyalty! We are celebrating all year long with prizes, special offers, and by bringing back popular products from the past 10 years. We hope you will celebrate with us!

So let's get the party started right now.

Just like Disney, we have created a lot of artwork and have put many popular stamp sets into our vault. In 2013, we are re-introducting favorites from the vault and will make them available for a limited time. Here are the first three stamp sets we are bringing out of the Technique Tuesday vault.
From now through March 24th (Sunday), all three of these stamp sets are available on our Web site for 25% off.
Want to tell us what products we should bring back next?
We would love your help picking which products to bring back next! Here's how: Simply vote on our survey for your favorites from a list of 16 best-selling stamp sets that were retired during the last 10 years. (There's also a space on the survey to tell us other stamp sets you'd like us to bring back!) Once you have voted, your name will automatically be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate. The winner will be announced on our Facebook page on March 25th!

Stamps + Photos = A Banner from Jaclyn

Here's a clever idea for using the This Story by Ali Edwards stamp set: Make a banner with it!

Jaclyn Miller created this fun banner by combining twine, pictures and stamps from the This Story by Ali Edwards (March's Studio AE) stamp set.

Technique-Tuesday-This-Story-Ali-Edwards-Clear-Stamps-LargeWe particularly like how she embellished this picture here with a panel stamped with the set's "Hello Memory" stamp. Check out how she used a yellow pen to add a little extra color to the panel! Very nice!

To see more of Jaclyn's banner and learn how she made it, check out her blog!
