They Call Me "The Card Girl"

To my family and friends, I'm the card girl.

They have come to expect handmade Christmas cards from me every year.

I have great intentions every year of starting work on my cards in July and completing them by September. Somehow though it becames October and then November. December hits, and I'm ready to hit the Christmas cardmaking panic button.

Leave it to our Creative Team to come to the rescue. They are here today with some inspiring ideas for Christmas cards.

(Special note to my family and friends: If you are looking at this post, please turn away right now. Leave this page. You might find a card like one of these beauties in your mailbox... wink!)

Three Tags, Three Ways

The holidays would not quite be the holidays around here without wrapping a few presents to give to loved ones.

And handmade tags are a quick and wonderful way to doll up your holiday packages and give them that personal touch.

With Christmas just three weeks away, we challenged Kris Chirhart, Charlene Austin and Sharyn Tormanen from Creative Team to come up with some festive holiday tags for you.

First up is this fun number from Kris.

How cute is that little cat with the hat from Twinkle On added to it? So "meow-y" cute, if you ask us!

Kris created the banner by stamping one of the banners from Tis the Season Banners by Ali Edwards with green ink on white cardstock and then fussy cutting it out. The "to" and "from" words stamped onto her tag are from the Happy Birthday Seal stamp set.

Next up is this fun tag by Charlene.

Charlene created her tag by die-cutting several label shapes and adhering them together.

She sponged ink on the smallest label and then heat embossed words from Believe by Ali Edwards with white embossing powder onto it.

She finished her tag off with a sentiment strip created with the Be Jolly stamp set and a tree from Celebrate the Seasons by Ali Edwards.

Finally, we've got Sharyn with one more tag.

Sharyn created a peek-a-boo panel of sorts on her tag by stamping the tree (from Be Jolly) on cardstock and then folding it over the side of the tag. The tree opens up, allowing her to write a message under it.

Sharyn finished her tag off wih some ribbon and some stamped words (also from Be Jolly).

And there you have: Three Tags, Three Ways!
