Quick. Go check out The Play Date Cafe!
That's because we are delighted this week to be sponsoring The Play Date Cafe's weekly color challenge and will be giving away a $25 Technique Tuesday gift certificate to someone who completes their weekly challenge.
If you are not familiar with The Play Date Cafe, it's a great little blog that offers a new color challenge every week. Crafters use the challenge as inspiration to make projects and then share them through their blog.
The Play Date Cafe's design team is using some of our stamps for their inspiring projects this week.

We'll reveal November's Greenhouse Society stamp set on November 15th! And our team will be back that day with another round of great projects!
We hope to see you then!
Let's just put it out there: I love Ali's stamps.
They are some of the most used stamps in my stamp stash.
So when I saw the new Sentiment Tabs by Ali Edwards set, I knew I had to have it.
You can stamp them plain.
You don't have to use them just as tabs. You can use them as flags on a line of twine, like I did here.
It is no secret. We love a good challenge around here at Technique Tuesday!
And with Halloween on our minds (and the desire to sneak some treats from our Halloween candy stash), we decided to toss up a challenge to our Creative Team make something inspired by this photo.
Sending spooky (and sweet) wishes from all us to you!
October 15th means it is time to reveal the newest addition in our line of Greenhouse Society stamp sets.
So without further ado, we invite you to take a look at this month's set.
The new set consists of three clear stamps: a pretty botancial scene and two sentiments. This stamp set comes on a 3" x 4" storage sheet.
Watch for it to go on sale later today our Web site. It starts shipping on Oct. 25th.
We release a new stamp set every month as part of our Greenhouse Society collection. You can join the club and have each month's Greenhouse Society stamp set shipped directly to you. The sets normally cost $12.99 (plus shipping and handling), but Greenhouse Society members get them for $9.99 (plus shipping and handling).
To celebrate the set's revealing, we have our Creative Team here with some cool projects. Take it away, team!

We think you will agree that the results are positively spooktacular!
EEEK!!! We love them all!

Hooray for Tuesday!
And since this is the blog of Technique Tuesday, it seems rather fitting that today's blog post involves a technique.
I am going to show you how to easily create an Ombré background with Technique Tuesday’s watercolor crayons.
Here is what you need:
- A clear stamping block
- A watercolor crayon (one is all you need!)
- A spritzing bottle filled with water
- Watercolor paper
Let's get started.
Start by scribbling a watercolor crayon on a stamping block.
Spritz the color with water. You only want to spritz it once or twice so there isn't too much water but there is some.
Quickly swipe the stamping block across a piece of watercolor paper.
Now, apply a little more color with the watercolor crayon to your stamping block.
Now, drag the block across your paper again. This time go a little slower so the paper absorbs the color a bit more.
Now, let's kick things up one more notch. Go back to your stamping block and apply one more round of color to it. Spritz it again once or twice with water.
Drag the block even slower across the bottom of your paper so even more color is absorbed. Go really, really, really slow. No, really. Go super slow.
Let your background paper dry and then use it on a card or a scrapbook page!
I created a couple of Ombré backgrounds and used them to make some quick thank you cards with Technique Tuesday's Thank You stamp set.
To enhance the stamped sentiment, I added rhinestone flourishes to both of my cards! I love that extra bit of class rhinestones add.
