Watercolor with Jaclyn

By now you've had a chance to check out Technique Tuesday's watercolor crayons. Today, you will see just how astonishing their versatility is and how to create this vibrant card using just a few supplies.

You will need:

Begin by applying your sentiment using stickers.

Then add color to your strip using the crayons. I like to leave a little bit of white space between colors so they don't become too muddied when I blend them.

Using a wet paintbrush, carefully blend the colors together. One of the great things about these crayons is if you need to add more color, you can do it while the paper is still wet. Just make sure to be gentle so you don't tear the paper.

Allow the paper to dry completely and then remove the stickers. If you have trouble removing the sticky part of the sticker, use an eraser and gently brush it off.

Add your finishing touches and you have a sentiment that pops!

Memory Keeping with Daniela

We've got Daniela Dobson here today with a scrapbook page she made to document a morning of crafting with her son.

Morning craft Daniela Dobson

Check out how she used our Story Cards! Neat!

Daniela also used our Cute by Ali Edwards, Life Circles by Ali Edwards
and Passion for Polka stamp sets on her page.

She created by triangle pattern herself.

"I made a triangle template and cut it out with my Silhouette and used watercolor crayons to color the background. The stars are painted with crayons. The triangle border is colored with ink and stamped with Passion for Polka. I stamped the sentiment from Life Circles and completely cut out out with my exacto knife."

Think Beef

Hooray for Friday! If you ask me, the day alone is worth 100 smiles!

But wait. Make that 101 reasons to smile today, thanks to this giggle-worthy card from Kris Chirhart.

Hee hee!

Every single stamp Kris Chirhart used to make this card is from our new Think Beef stamp set.

Thanks for the smile, Kris!

Scrapbooking Volleyball Memories with Sharyn

We've got Sharyn Tormanen here today with layout she made in honor of her daughter playing volleyball.

Sharyn used stamps from our Volleyball stamp set to stamp on her journaling box and pictures and to stamp the volleyballs.

"I used Staz-On to stamp the words directly onto the photos, and then used masking to make the volleyball and the word volleyball joined together as a stronger title. Fun!"

Nice job, Sharyn!

Go Big

It is hard to believe Summer is quickly coming to close.

Before you know it, the children will be back in school. Leaves will start falling. And football season will be here.

So, in honor of that, we thought it would be fun today to bring to you a card from Laura O'Donnell that is perfect to make now and give away during the Fall months.

Laura used our Football and Stay The Course stamp sets to make her card.

Technique-Tuesday-Football-Clear-Stamps-Medium Technique-Tuesday-Stay-The-Course-Clear-Stamps-Medium
How neat is that tag?!

Laura created the tag by stamping the sentiment on it. She stamped the football on cardstock, colored it in with markers and then fussy cut it before adding it to the tag with foam adhesive.

Her tag looks great on her card and would also look cool on a scrapbook page!

For the Love of Neon

It seems like every single time I go to the mall lately I see something new and neon: neon shirts, neon necklaces and even neon sunglasses.

Neon is just so popular right now.

And not to date myself or anything, but I remember the neon trend when it first surfaced in the 1980s. (Secret confession right here, folks. I proudly wore a pair of bright neon tennis shoes back in the day. I wore them all the time. Of course, that was like in the second grade and all.)

This time around I will be avoiding neon kicks. Instead I'll get a neon fix by adding bright pink, yellow, blue and other neon colors to my scrapbook pages and cards.

An easy way to add those trendy neon colors to your paper projects is by making your own DIY neon embellishments.

All you need are a couple neon highlighter pens and some Technique Tiles.

Your highlighter pens don't need to be anything fancy. I picked up these ones at the dollar store. (Not able to find any highlighter pens at your local dollar store? Borrow them from your favorite high school or college student's stash of school supplies.)

Then simply brush the marker on your tiles until they are completely covered with neon color.

Let the ink dry and then start stamping on them with basic black ink.

There's no need to seal them. You can put them on a card or scrapbook page right away.

I created all the circles here with Technique Tiles and highlighter pens.

I stamped the large circle tile with words from the So Very Thankful by Ali Edwards stamp set.

I added just a little bit of stamping to the smaller tiles with the stars and arrow from the Awesome stamp set.

I'd love to see your take on this technique. Share it with me through Technique Tuesday's Facebook page!

Studio AE Flashback

We are flashing back in time today. Studio AE time, that is.

We've got Daniela Dobson here with a card she made with It's OK by Ali Edwards, the Studio AE stamp set from December 2011.

I just love you 74911

Fun, huh?!

Daniela used one of the stamp's phrases to stamp the words on the Story Card.

(The limited-edition Studio AE set is no longer available through, but check with your favorite retailer to see if they might still have it in stock.)

I just love you close 74933
She also used the stamp set's butterfly!

She made the cute butterfly accents by stamping the butterfly three times on cardstock with yellow ink and then fussy cutting! She finished them off by adding gems to the center of each one.

Have you made anything with our Studio AE stamp sets? We'd love to see it! Share it with us through our Facebook page or Twitter! We also welcome project submissions for consideration in our Customer Gallery!
