Inspiration for Father's Day

Father's Day is Sunday.

Yes, really. This Sunday!

Still trying to come up with perfect card for Dad?

Tanis Giesbrecht is here today with a great Father's Day card to get your creative juices flowing.

Tanis created this stunning card with a couple different Technique Tuesday stamp sets: Dad Rocks by Ali Edwards and Dad Seal.

We just love how she added the button to the middle of the seal. It's the perfect finishing touch for her card.

Looking for even more inspiring Father's Day ideas?

Well, we have you covered. We've raided our project files and have put together this video with tons of great Father's Day ideas.

You'll find scrapbook pages, cards and other Dad-themed creative projects in it.

Hooray for Dad! And hooray for Father's Day!

Technique Tuesday Project Parade

You've asked for it. And we've got even more Technique Tuesday inspiration for you.

Here are some projects from our Creative Team that you might have missed.

Charlene Austin made the perfect card to send a friend during the Summer with our Belle on a Bike stamp set.

Tobi Crawford finished off this beautiful card with a sentiment from Swanky Sentiments.

Jaclyn Miller used Delightful Daffidols to make this delightfully pretty card.

Ashley Harris created a sweet thank you card with A Million and One by Ali Edwards. We love how she stamped the sentiment on a scalloped circle. It's such a unique way to use a sentiment.

Hooray for June and Studio AE!

Thanks, Dad (times 2)!

You are in for a treat today!

We've got two cards perfect for Father's Day that use the same stamp set but in two different ways.

Meet the Dad Seal, our stamp set of choice.

First up is Linda Barber, who made this card with the set.

It's so cool how Linda stamped the seal repeatedly to make her own background paper.

To soften the look, she added vellum on top of it.

She finished her card off by wrapped twine around the two panels and then adding a circle created by heat embossing the seal with copper powder.

Next up is Teri, who made this card that is quite different from Linda's.

Teri created her circle with heat embossing as well.

She also used the "The Best" words from the set, along with the "You Are" words from the Number One Seal set to stamp a border along the bottom of the card.

Such a nice touch!

Father's Day Inspiration from Charlene

Hello Technique Tuesday fans!

Charlene here with some Father's Day card inspiration for you.

I do not know anyone who doesn’t find Masculine cards challenging. I know I do so I like to keep them pretty simple. I do my best to resist adding pretty things like ribbons and bows. Instead I use some color blocking and a random shape here and there to keep things interesting.

We may fuss over masculine cards, but the truth is I think our Dads will love any card we make for them... even if it has glitter on it.

The stamps I used on my card are from: Friendship Never Melts (I love this stamp set and can not wait to use the snowman later this year!); Swanky Sentiments; and Sweet Somethings.

See you again soon!

Celebrating Grads

It's Graduation time!

And parents, family and friends everywhere are beaming with pride as they see the young men and women in their lives graduate.

I will never forget the day I graduated. I remember looking up in the stands and seeing my parents smiling and beaming as I received my diploma. Little did I know that there was a huge box of tissues sitting between them. The tears were totally flowing during the ceremony!

Whether your graduates are graduating from high school or college or finishing up their first year in kindergarten, we have some neat stamp sets for you to use to congratulate them on a job well done.

Jaclyn Miller used our new Cap & Gown Seal stamp set to create this stunning card for a graduate!

Shelley Goff created this fun cap-inspired card.

Totally fun and cute, right?! And we think it's the perfect card for a graduate of any age.

Shelley used our Congratulations - Eye Chart stamp set.

And Teri pulled out our Grad set.

And she whipped together this clean and graphic card, which she can easily make over and over again to give to a whole lot of graduates!

Introducing June's Studio AE Stamp Set

We are delighted this month to have talented scrapbooker and card maker Lisa Truesdell joining us as our Studio AE Guest.

"Lisa Truesdell lives in Omaha, NE, in a midtown neighborhood filled with big trees and old houses. She's been married to Matthew for 14 years and is a stay at home mom to their three boys - Alex, Ben, and Sam. When she's not making pages or chasing her boys, she is slowly teaching herself to use her sewing machine on fabric. She also subscribes to too many magazines and is useless from the moment she starts a new book until she finishes it. Lisa designs for Studio Calico and is a Garden Girl at Two Peas in a Bucket."

We just enjoy her work tremendously! And we are thrilled to have Lisa as this month's guest.

Be sure to check out Lisa's blog today to see something she's cooked up with the new stamp set.

Lisa will also be joining us for the Studio AE Blog Hop on the 10th!

Three cheers for June!
