Stamp Spotlight: Summer

Summer means trips to the beach, picnics, sunshine and lots of fun.

And we've got Summer on our minds today in a big way.

And we've got Ashley Harris and Jaclyn Miller here with some projects they made in honor of the season with our Summer stamp set.

First up is Ashley with this sweet Summer scene.

Talk about a card that feels like the beach! Ashley created the entire scene with the Summer stamp set.

Stamping the umbrella and beach ball on patterned paper is such a fun touch. And I love how she created the look of sand with tan cardstock.

Next up is Jaclyn with a card that is perfect to send to a friend or loved one from the beach.

Those adorable flip flops just scream Summer. So cute!

Jaclyn created the sentiment using the Summer set, as well as stamps from Belle on a Bike and Petite Posies.

A Patriotic Party Favor from Jaclyn

I love the 4th of July.

After I graduated from college, I moved to a small city that celebrated Independence Day in a big way every year. That small city would literally double in size every Fourth of July with people from around the region wanting to spend the day there.

With a morning parade, picnics and barbecues in the afternoon and a huge fireworks dispay in the evening, the holiday was always a truly incredible and memorable experience.

Jaclyn Miller has come up with a party favor reminds me so much of that small town on the Fourth of July.

Jaclyn's favor began as a jar and a bunch of bottles of bubbles.

She made tags to hang on the bubble bottles with the USA Seal.

I love how she popped the flag off the tags with foam adhesive!

She placed all the bottles of bubbles in a jar and then tied lots of beautiful red ribbon around it.

She finished things off with a small "Thanks" tag created with the Swanky Sentiments stamp set.

Hooray for the Red, White and Blue

The Fourth of July is just a few days away, and we have some cards to put you in a Patriotic mood today from Daniela Dobson and Sharyn Tormanen!

Daniela created this fun shaped card with the USA Seal!

Stars & Stripes 69155

Daniela designed the shape of the card with her die-cutting machine. Check out that star! Yep. That's patterned paper she used to cover the points of the star.

Stars & Stripes 69177

She bent the words and small stars to stamp them around the circle. The words and small stars are from the USA Seal and Original Seal.

She finished her card off by creating the layered USA circle with the USA Seal and tying a bow with twine.

Sharyn also used the USA Seal to make her card.

She stamped the small stars with a silver ink.

And she colored the large star (from FUNdamentals Superstars, which is on sale right for $3.56) with a yellow chalk ink pad. She finished it off by stamping the circle from the USA Seal set right in the middle of it with red ink.

To give the star some extra pop, she sealed it up with a layer of Glossy Accents.

In case you get lost during the hop, here is the entire line-up:

Be sure to comment during the hop!

Happy Father's Day!

It is Father's Day, and we at Technique Tuesday want to remind you to give the Dads, Dads-to-be and Dad-like figures in your life a hug today!

And in honor of all the fathers out there, we've got a Dad-inspired card from Tobi Crawford to share with you.

Can you believe all the gorgeous texture here? Tobi dry-embossed the stars and then used real-life burlap ribbon across the card!

She created the circle with our Dad Seal. She stamped the circle, cut it out with circle punch and then scruffed up the edges.

All those little touches make it the perfect card to give a special Dad not just on Father's Day but any day of the year.

And the winner is...

It's time to pick a winner for the June Studio AE Blog Hop!

And that lucky winner is Amy Coose, who left a comment on Ali's blog post.

Congrats, Amy! Teri will be in touch via email shortly so we can get your prize to you.

We appreciate all of your comments made during the hop!

And we hope you are inspired to use the new Life Right Now by Ali Edwards stamp set, which is now shipping.
