Technique Tiles = Versatile & Fun

Hi everyone!

My crafty friends alway ask what my favorite Technique Tuesday product is. Well, one of my favorite products is Technique Tiles.

That's because you can use Technique Tiles plain as they come or you can doctor them up.

Here are just a few of the ways you can do that.

You can stamp on them.

You can color them with ink. (Paint, pencils and markers work well, too!)

You can mist them.

You can dry emboss them.

Just stick your Technique Tiles in your favorite dry-embossing folder and run them through your die cut machine!

You can even layer them.

Oh la la! Check out that lusciousness!

And they look even spiffier when you stack them together and put them on scrapbook page or card like I did here.

To finish my card, I used a sentiment from the Bring on the Sun by Ali Edwards stamp set.

Thankful for Mom

Let's hear it for all the moms out there.

They are there for us at every stage of our lives when we need them. From when we are little ones just needing to be cuddled to adults needing someone to talk to, Mom is there for us.

Kris Chirhart has come up with a great way to thank one of the moms in her life.

Kris created the tiles for her beautiful card by coloring a strip of cardstock with watercolor crayons. She spread the color with water. She let the strip fully dry and then stamped the flowers from Growing Wild repeatedly with black ink on top. Once she completed the stamping, she cut the strip into tiles.

She stamped the sentiment with our Swanky Sentiments stamp set.

Looking for another way to thank Mom? If she's a crafter, consider giving her a gift certificate from Technique Tuesday. Gift certificates start at $25.

Project Kits are on Sale Now!

It’s always good to have Perspective, even when it’s In Bloom or In the Bag.

There are always so many fun things going on here at Technique Tuesday. The warehouse is a constant buzz of activity. The office has designers, product testers and the rest of our staff. We are usually in full blown creative mode – often focused on creating brand-new products. Sometimes we get so busy we forget about the great products and ideas that are sitting on the shelf and are ready to ship right now.

We make lots of kits, and I have been in charge of making sure they are built and assembled with all their parts and pieces. I get very attached to them. And I really want them all to go to nice homes. These kits eliminate project design time and supply assembly hassles. Some of our kits are for card makers and paper crafters. Others are for the scrapbookers. All are filled with crafty tips and techniques.

Our kits give you a great return on your investment because the contents by and large contain tools for an exceptional project. The best part is once you have used the kit supplies, you still have hardware to make even more projects. Your home stash and our recipe-style instructions, provide lots of bang for your buck. If you click to our website, you will find out that your buck will get you much further it did before. Here are just a few of my kit kids that need a good home!

Make a Canvas for Mom with Daniela

This is Daniela, and here is a Mother’s Day gift I created using Technique Tuesday's watercolor crayons and stamps.
1. I started by painting a small canvas with watercolor crayons.

Watch this video to see how.

2. I created a box in Silhouette Studio to fit my little gift. This box is 3.5" x 5.5”.
(You can download for yourself for free by going here: Mother’s Day Gift Box by Daniela Dobson.)
3. For the top of the box I stamped a patterned piece of paper with a tree branch from the Tree-mendous stamp set. I added little butterflies from the Amazing by Ali Edwards stamp set.
4. I stamped a circle from Family Circle by Ali Edwards and then used a scalloped punch to punch it out. I added a flower and some twine. I stamped “Happy Mother’s Day” and a frame from Swanky Sentiments on white cardstock, cut it out and tucked it under the flower.
