Fancy Up Technique Tiles with Jaclyn
Hi again friends!
It's Jaclyn.
I'm showcasing Technique Tiles today. I want to share with you a technique using your tiles and chalks you might have gathering dust in your stash.
Here's how to do it. You will need:
- Your favorite Technique Tiles
- Versamark or another clear ink
- A stamp of your choice
- Chalks
- A chalk applicator or cotton ball
- Tissue
- Hairspray
- Something to protect your work surface
Begin by punching out your tiles. For my project I am using the Swirl frame from the Classic Tile Toppers.
I punched out the frame and then trimmed off the swirls.
Using Versamark ink, stamp your image repeatedly onto the tile.
Once your tiles are completely stamped, apply the chalk using the included applicator (or a cotton ball if your chalks didn't come with one). The more chalk you add, the darker your stamped images will appear.
Once all of your tiles are chalked, lightly pat them with a tissue to remove any excess chalk.
To set the chalk and avoid it from wiping off, lightly spray your tiles with a coat of hairspray.
All finished! You are now free to decorate your cards and projects with your completed tiles. I created a card with mine using the stamps from Flurry.
I'd love to see how you use this technique. Post a project online and link it up to Technique Tuesday's Facebook page.
FABULOUS!!! I think I'm gonna play with my tiles today :)
THANKS for the inspiration!
