Wow! I can't believe what we found in the back corner of the warehouse : a secret stash of our Dog and Pony Show stamp sets. This adorable set is one of our all-time, best-selling stamp sets.
The whimsical critters in this stamp set always make me smile.
When we first made the set my daughter was quite young. She loved stamping farm scenes using the cow, dog, rooster, cat and horse.
The Technique Tuesday designers have also had a blast with this set over the years.
Hurry to our website and grab a set for $9.99. That's 50 percent off!
There are only a few Dog and Pony Show stamp sets left!
While you are there, be sure to check out our Sale page. We also have Rococo and Casablanca on sale for 50 percent off.
This is a new, fun and easy way to use Technique Tuesday's watercolor crayons. I call it the crayon glaze technique. Let me show you how.
Here's what you need to do this technique:
* Scratch paper
And here's what you do:
1. Start by scribbling the crayon on a piece of scratch paper.
2. Add a puddle of Glossy Accents on top of it. Use a paintbrush to move the glaze around and mix it with the crayon color. Keep mixing until you achieve a nice colored glaze.
3. Immediately apply the glaze to a surface, such as paper or a Technique Tile.
This crayon glaze technique is so easy and so fun!
I used the crayon glaze technique on this card.
I created a glaze with a Scarlet crayon and Glossy Accents. I used it to color the heart from FUNdamentals Hearts. I finished the card off with a sentiment from the Simply You by Ali Edwards stamp set.
If you try this technique out, I'd love to see your results.

Need some inspiration for a great birthday card?
Our talented Stamping Techs have you covered.
We recently challenged them to come up with some birthday cards, and they didn't disappoint us with great ideas.
We never would have thought to use pink with that stamp set. So cool.
This would be so fun to give to a child!
And Teri Anderson played it clean and simple with this card.
Anyone counting the days until their August Studio AE stamp set arrives?
We want you to see an amazing scrapbook page that August Studio AE Guest Heidi Sonboul made with the new This One by Ali Edwards stamp set. We think it just might make you wish the stamp set was already in your hands.
On your mark. Get set. Check it out!
Heidi used the stamp set to create the word strips for her photos.
What a neat idea! We just love how the words lead you from picture to picture.
Heidi also used our Kids Are Cool by Ali Edwards stamp set on her layout. She stamped the title in the circle with it. It's like the stamp set was made to go with the new Studio AE set!
We can hardly wait to see more Studio AE projects from Heidi.
And, just in case you are wondering when the Studio AE stamp set will hit your mailbox, the new Studio AE stamp set starts shipping in six days. Shipments to Studio AE members leave the Technique Tuesday warehouse between the 10th and 15th.
Behind Technique Tuesday are a whole lot of wonderful, creative people. And we think you should get to know them so we're periodically going to use our blog introduce you to our team members.
Today, we're kicking off those introductions by spotlighting Tanis Giesbrecht, one of TT's talented Stamping Techs.
TT: Where are you from?
Tanis: I live in the little village of Landmark (and YES, we are a landmark - we are in the exact longitudinal centre of Canada - 96 degrees) in flat, flat Manitoba.
TT: How long have you been stamping?
Tanis: Since 2003.
TT: Three words that describe me right now are…
Tanis: ... down-to-earth, learning, wifemom
TT: Favorite Technique Tuesday product right now?
TT: What’s your favorite stamping technique?
Tanis: I love fussy cutting my stamped images. And now that I own those great watercolour crayons, I've fallen in love with colouring again. Love that!
TT: Favorite color scheme to use when crafting?
Tanis: Anything bright and happy. I love 70's inspired colour themes....olives, oranges, browns. I love mixing in turquoise with just about anything.
TT: Dogs or cats? Fruits or veggies? Ocean or mountains?
Tanis: Cats (I have two). Fruits AND veggies when they are prepared for me, all cut up, complete with dips, served on a platter. And mountains - where I can hike, bike and explore.
TT: My most prized possession is…
Tanis: ... my 1990-something van. I couldn't go anywhere or do anything fun without it.
TT: When I was a little girl, I wanted to be…
Tanis: ... a teacher. And guess what? I'm a teacher. Go figure :)
TT: Can you give us a stamping or paper crafting tip?
Tanis: I love adding details (dots and doodles) to stamped images with my white paint pens.
And we also asked Tanis to share a favorite project she made with Technique Tuesday's products.
Thanks to Tanis for sharing a little bit about herself today!
It's the 1st! That means it time to reveal our August Studio AE stamp set.
The new This One by Ali Edwards stamp set consists of a number of words and phrases.
Two of the stamps are versatile stand-alone arrows.
Here are just some of the ways we envision using them.
The arrows can be pointed sideways, as well as up and down. You can create borders with them. You can stamp them and then stamp words inside and on them. You can bend the long skinny one. And you can flip the stubby arrow over and stamp with it.
This One by Ali Edwards begins shipping to Studio AE members on Aug. 10th.
We are thrilled to having Heidi Sonboul joining our Studio AE team as this month's Studio AE guest.
Heidi is an accomplished scrapbooker and card maker. Heidi has a sweet, happy style, and we are excited to see what comes up with as August's Studio AE stamp set.
Be sure to join Heidi and our Studio AE team on the 10th for a blog hop using this month's Studio AE stamp set.
