Guess What? We've Got Casablanca Stamp Sets!

Have you ever wished you could take back your words?

A couple months ago when I was answering our customer support phone calls, I talked to a really nice customer who wanted the Casablanca stamp set. I told her I was so sorry but the stamp set had been discontinued and was no longer available. I even checked in the warehouse to make sure. Now I need to tell her I was wrong!

We were doing a bit of cleaning the other day and we found a stack of about 20 of them filed in the wrong place. If by some lucky chance that customer is reading this posting – please accept my apology!

And now, lets make sure I’m correct the next time I say that Casablanca is all sold out by putting them on sale and selling them all. They’re just $8.49 – that’s a 50% discount on a full-size set of stamps.

In addition to Casablanca, you can find Rococo and Dog & Pony Show on the Sale page for 50 percent off.

Something New from Technique Tuesday

Heading to CKC Valley Forge this weekend? Planning on seeing us next week at CKC Nashville?

Those of you attending the conventions will get the first chance to see some new Technique Tuesday products.

At the two conventions, we'll have some new paper boxes and Fall, Christmas and Halloween themed cardstock sheets of printed elements. The boxes and elements sell for $1 a piece.

Darcy used one of the boxes and a sheet of Halloween printed elements to make this spook-tacular photo box.

She cut out some of the designs and then applied a layer of Glossy Accents on top of them to make them pop.

She finished the box off by adding beaded feet to the bottom.

How fun would this be to put in your house for Halloween time?

Emboss Resist with Tobi

If you have stamped for very long, you've probably fired up an embossing gun and embossed with embossing powder.

But here's a fun twist on embossing from Stamping Tech Tobi Crawford: Emboss Resist.

She used this technique to create the harlequin design on her card.

Here's what she did:

1. Started by stamping the harlequin design from Harlequin Harmony on the diecut label with blue ink.

2. Cleaned the stamp and stamped again. This time, Tobi stamped it with Versamark watermark ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

3. Sponged pigment orange ink all over panel. Because she embossed over the harlequin pattern, that area remained blue.

Tobi finished her card off with a sentiment from our Love Always Win by Ali Edwards stamp set. She added a small heart to her sentiment panel to tie everything together.

What a cool card and technique!

Keeping Track of Your Watercolor Crayons

Are you using our watercolor crayons yet?

Stamping Tech Daniela Dobson has worked up a great system for keeping track of the ones she has and the ones she wants to get.

She has created her very own color chart based on our crayons.

To make her chart, Daniela used a ruler and a round Technique Tile. She used a permanent black marker to trace the tile to make the circles.

When she adds a new watercolor crayon to her stash, she colors in the appropriate circle.

What a great idea!

Come See Us at CKC Valley Forge

Hi everyone!

Technique Tuesday will be at the CKC Valley Forge scrapbook convention from July 28th to 30th. (Eeek! That's less than 2 weeks away!)

Online registration ends at midnight EST today for convention classes.

Darcy will be teaching some great classes at the show: In Bloom; Perspectives by Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday; Out of the Box; Life is a Journey Mini Book and Delicious Recipes for Cards.

In fact, here is a peek of Delicious Recipes for Cards. These projects are packed with fun stamping techniques.

Can't take a class? Be sure to visit the Technique Tuesday booth during the show.

Haley and Laura will be there and would love to meet you!

And there will be lots and lots of stamps, Technique Tiles (starting at 25 cents a piece), seam binding ribbon (50 cents a yard), watercolor crayons, patterned paper and more.

Other than the paper, this card was made entirely with products that will available in the booth at the show.

Playing with TT's Patterned Paper

Hi everyone!

It's Friday, and I have a real treat for you today!

Our talented Stamping Techs have been playing with Technique Tuesday's new Perspectives patterned paper collection.

The 12" x 12" two-sided patterned paper features designs by Ali Edwards and comes in packs of 11 sheets. Each pack contains two sheets of five double-sided designs and one sheet of double-sided Story Cards.

The paper is so fun because there is just so much you can do with it. You can get a different look with every project you make with it.

Not convinced? Take a look at some of the projects our Stamping Techs have worked up with it.

Check out how  Charlene used it on this card here.

I just love how she used our paper to make the flowers. They are so pretty.

And I love how Tobi used the paper on this wedding layout.

First of all, a wedding layout? Clever! Second, how cool are the mat and butterflies?!

And check out how Tanis used it on this card.

What a great way to use one of the Story Cards!

Kris used two Story Cards on this clever design.

Laura, too, used one of the Story Cards here.

And check out this card by Daniela.

The seam binding ribbon and flower add such a pretty touch to her card and compliment the paper so well.

Finally, look at how Maile Belles, who was a Guest Stamping Tech for us in June, used our paper.

It's like the heart from Love Makes the World Go Round was made to go with the paper. What a fantastic combination.

You can find our patterned paper on the Technique Tuesday Web site. You can also check with your favorite retailer to see if they have it. If you aren't sure if there's a store near you that carries Technique Tuesday products, check our Store Locator.

Easy Storage for Watercolor Crayons

Looking for a way to store your new watercolor crayons from Technique Tuesday?

Technique Tuesday fan Michelle N. recently asked for one on TT's Facebook page so I went searching for an easy storage solution.

Here's what I found: A simple gift card tin works great!

I found this tin at a local craft store for just $1.

Instead of putting a gift card inside it, I filled it up with crayons.

You can see it that it fits quite a few of the crayons. To keep them from moving around while they are not in use, I cut up a white cosmetic sponge to stuff at the bottom of the tin.
