It's super fun and way easy!
Let me show you how.
To pull of this technique, you are going to need:
* A spritzing bottle filled with water
And here's what you do:
1. Scribble the watercolor crayon all over your stamping block. Be generous with the color and lay down a lot of it.
2. Spritz or mist the block with water. I squirted it two to three times.
3. Press your stamping block firmly (crayon colored side down) onto a panel of cardstock. (Just in case you are wondering, I'm just using inexpensive, basic white cardstock here. Watercolor paper works well, too.)
I made all of these background with this shadow stamping technique.
And I made this little set of cards with technique.
I simply mounted the backgrounds to cards made from cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the Loving Words by Ali Edwards stamp set on each one. Then, I finished them off by coloring in some of the letters with crayons and adding gems.
If you try this technique, I'd love to see your results!
