It's time yet again for another installment in our popular Story Card Sunday blog series so let's get to it. Here is this week's Story Card.
Like all the Story Cards we feature on Story Card Sunday, this would look great in a pocket page. It'd also work well on a traditional scrapbook page or greeting card.
Let me show you how to make one like it.
Start by cutting three bases with the Story Card DIY Steel dies.
Using the Torn Spriral Edge steel die, cut a border out of one of the base cards. Using the Straight Talk - Week, cut the word out of another one of them. Use a little Washi tape (or Painter's tape) to hold the dies in place as your run them through your die-cutting machine.
You should end up with something like this. By the way, you'll need your scissors to snip off the ends of the week card.
Finish the card off by stamping a phrase over the "week" word. (I used a phrase from Technique Tuesday's Everything Pocket Page stamp set.)
Add some twine and stamp a small element at the bottom of the card. (The stars I used are also from the Everything Pocket Page clear stamp set.)
And guess what? I've got a bonus Story Card to share with you today. I used the leftover pieces from this card (plus one more base card cut with the Story Card die) to make this bonus card.
And that's a wrap!
I'll be back again next Sunday with a new Story Card for you. Hope to see you then.
PS. Technique Tuesday just released more than 30 new clear stamp sets and steel dies. You'll find them on the New for 2014 page on our Web site.
