Story Card Sunday: Life Would Be Flat

Hi everyone!

It's time for another installment of Story Card Sunday.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comThis week's Story Card would work great in a pocket page scrapbook or on a traditional scrapbook page. It would also look good on a greeting card.

Let me show you how to make one like it. It's easy to make with clear stamps and steel dies from Technique Tuesday.

Steel dies from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comStart by doing some die-cutting. Cut a base card with the Memo Pad Card dies. Cut a speaker and microphone with the Music Makers dies. Cut two small hearts with the Nested Hearts dies

Steel dies and clear stamps from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comSet a sticky note across the base card. Sponge ink below the sticky note and remove the note.

Steel dies and clear stamps from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comAdhere the speaker, microphone and heart die-cuts to the Story Card.

Steel dies and clear stamps from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comStamp a sentiment. The one I used is from the Turn Up The Volume stamp set. You might also consider using a phrase from the Make Music or Bravo stamp sets.

Finish the Story Card by adding some gems or enamel dots to the hearts. Want less bulk? Add a layer of glitter glue instead.

I hope you enjoyed learning how to make this week's Story Card. I'll be back next week with a new Story Card Sunday tutorial for you. Hope to see you then.

Birgit created this fun number with the Music Owl stamp set. Those headphones? They are from the Music Makers dies and fit perfectly on the owl.

Birgit thought out of the box in making the branch for the owl to stand on. She used the tree from the Tree-Mendous stamp set and just turned it sideways. Great idea!

A Ticket Book for Concerts!

Concert lover? Here's a fun and quick idea for you: Make a mini book to save your ticket stubs in.

Concert Ticket Mini Book fro Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comThis is such an easy project to make. Start by cutting some pages from cardstock. Make them as big or as little as you want. Poke holes through the pages and then bind them together with a round binding ring.

Give your pages some pizzazz by decorating them with stamps and die-cuts. The dies from Technique Tuesday's Music Maker dies provided the perfect decorative element for the cover of my book!

Concert Ticket Mini Book from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comSauce up your pages with stamping. The Planner - Music stamp set has lots of words and icons that work well in a book about going to concerts so I used it liberally throughout my book! You may want to try using stamps from the Turn Up The Volume and Make Music stamp sets in your book.

Another fun idea for your book is to add a few words about each show to it. Whether it was the best show over or not so much, it's great way to really add a personal touch to your album.

Father's Day cards by Tobi Crawford for Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comDo you struggle with creating masculine cards? Take a cue from Tobi. Use woodgrain and striped patterned papers and go with darker color schemes rather than bright ones. Another great idea is to use jute or twine on the card rather than ribbon.

Another great idea is to use Technique Tuesday's Man Day stamp set. This stamp set features a number of fun icons that work well on masculine cards. You can also create a number of different sentiments with the stamp set.
