Hi everyone!

Are you a planner? Then you are going to love today's post!

We've got special guest Ashley Gray here again with some stickers she made for her planner with some of Technique Tuesday's planner stamps

Planner stickers for Technique Tuesday from Ashley Gray // TechniqueTuesday.com

Do you have stamps to use in your planner but are afraid to stamp them in your planner? This is a great way to use them. Rather than stamping on your planner, grab a couple sheets of label stickers and then stamp on them. That way if you mess up, you can just use a different label and start over!

Story Card Sunday: Stories of Summer

Hi everyone!

Meet this week's pocket page-friendly Story Card.

Stories of Summer Story Card from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comNot a pocket page memory keeper? This Story Card would look great on a traditional scrapbook page or greeting card. Let me show you how to make one with Technique Tuesday's steel dies and clear stamps.

Start by doing some die-cutting.

You'll need to cut:

  • 1 base card with the Story Card dies
  • 3 small hearts with the Nested Hearts dies
  • 1 Summer word, one sun, one pair of sunglasses and two drink glasses with the Summer dies. You'll also want to cut two more drink glasses from yellow cardstock. Discard the yellow drink glasses and save just the inner pieces.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comSponge blue ink onto your base card. I like to create movement by sponging the ink into a circle as I go.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comAdhere the drink glasses, hearts, sun and sunglasses to the Story Card.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comAdhere wiggle eyes to the drink glasses. Use a black pen to draw mouths. You'll also want to draw a face on the sunshine.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comIsn't that cute?

Adhere the "Summer" word toward the bottom of the base card. Use the Summer Adventure stamp set to stamp "Stories of" above the die-cut word.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comThinking you might want to use this Story Card on a non-Summer project? Consider stamp a love or friendship sentiment on it instead.

I hope you enjoyed these week's Story Card. Be sure to tune in next Sunday to learn how to make another one.

Sending Summer Vibes...

Hi, Technique Tuesday fans!

Summer's coming, and we've got a card from Tobi Crawford that will have you thinking of the bright sunshiny days ahead!

Sunshine handmade card by Tobi Crawford for Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comTalk about a card that's all fun! You agree with me?

Can you believe that cute, colorful paper is all stamped? Yep! Sure is. Tobi created it by stamping several elements from the Planner- Outdoors and Planner - Beach stamp sets onto cardstock and then coloring the images in with markers. To really make the small images pop, she used multiple shades of markers to add shading.

The sentiment on the card is from the Hello Sunshine stamp set. She simply stamped it right onto vellum! If you've never tried stamping on vellum before, be sure to use an ink that will work it. Another idea is to heat emboss your stamping right onto it.

A Card that's a Hoot from Ashley!

Hi all!

In need of some stampy inspiration? Special guest Ashley Gray has you covered. She's here again today with a fun card that's sure to get those creative juices flowing.

Ashley Gray

Get ready to be amazed.

Handmade card by Ashley Gray for Technique Tuesday // TechniqueTuesday.comTa-da!

So here's a fun idea for you. Next time you are stamping, consider using something other than plain cardstock to stamp on. Use patterned paper or create your own patterned paper and stamp on top like Ashley with the sentiment from the Lucky Owl stamp set.

And how cute is that owl from the Proud Owl stamp set? Ashley did a great job coloring him in with markers. To give your coloring more depth, use two markers. Start by coloring an image in with the lighter color and then add dark highlights with the second marker. Use the lighter colored marker to help blend in the highlights.

Want to see more of Ashley's work? Check out her blog and Instagram feed. We'll have her back here next Thursday with another fun project. Hope to see you then!
