Love Being Home With You

Hello all!

Here's a fun idea for Technique Tuesday's Bless This Home stamp set: Make a card for someone you love.

Home with You card from TechniqueTuesday.com

Many of the phrases in the stamp set are card friendly (and scrapbook friendly too).

Bless This Home stamp set from TechniqueTuesday.comYou can also create cute little scenes with the stamp set by pairing together the house with the fence and hearts. And that circle? It's sized perfectly to fit work with a 1" circle punch, as well as Technique Tuesday's Circles steel dies.

Story Card Sunday: The Little Things

Hi all!

It's Sunday, which means it is time for another installment in the Story Card Sunday series.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comThis week's Story Card has an artsy twist! We're going to use paint to create a textured effect.

Let me show you this fun technique and how you can make a Story Card like this one.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comStart by cutting two base cards with the Story Card steel dies. Cut a rectangle with Pocket of Love steel dies.

You are going to want to protect your work surface with a craft mat or scratch paper. Set a base card on the work surface. Squirt craft paint all over it.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comCrumple up a piece of plastic wrap. The more wrinkles, the better. Set the plastic wrap on top of the Story Card.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comLeave the plastic wrap in place until the paint is completely dry. This will take several hours. Once the paint is dry, peel off the plastic wrap.

While I was working on this Story Card, I made a couple more. Notice how the texture varies from card to card.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comYour Story Card will likely wrinkle because of the paint so you are going to want to adhere the base card to the second base card.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comTake the small rectangle and stamp a phrase onto it. I used stamps from the Favorite Things and Hello Darling stamp sets.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comAdhere the small rectangle to the Story Card.

A Story Card Sunday tutorial from TechniqueTuesday.comFinish it off by adding a staple to it.

I'll be back again next week with another Story Card Sunday tutorial. Hope to see you then.

Document Your Summer Travels

Hey, Memory Keepers!

Did you hit the road this Summer? Did you travel abroad? Did you spend time at the beach or near the lake?

It's time to scrapbook those memories! And we've got a fun way for you to do it! Create some travel-themed Story Cards like Shelley Goff did!

Shelley created all of these Story Card with the new Postage Card steel dies from Technique Tuesday. These cards would look great in a pocket page album or on a traditional scrapbook page.

Photo 3 (3)

Shelley decorated them with clear stamps from the Going Places stamp set, as well as the Going Places steel dies

Shelley also stamped a few words with the Pack Your Bags stamp set.

I think one of my favorite cards from Shelley's stash is this one.

Going Places Story Card by Shelley for TechniqueTuesday.comI love that postmark at the top of her card! And adding the mat to the back of the base card is great too! It really helps make her card pop!

I also dig this one.

Postmark card by Shelley for TechniqueTuesday.comIt would be a great card to put a little journaling on or add a small picture to. I could even imagine using the Postage Card dies to cut a photo out. Finish it off by adding some handmade elements like Shelley's.

Do you have the Postage Card dies? Have you made anything with them? We'd love to see your creations! Share them with us on our Facebook page and on Twitter and Instagram! Be sure to use the #TechniqueTuesday hashtag.
