A Lovely Card by Daniela

Hi there, Technique Tuesday fans!

I'm excited to bring you a some inspiration today from Daniela Dobson. Check out this cool card she made with clear stamps and steel dies from TechniqueTuesday.com.

So true by Daniela Dobson

I just love the banner she made with our Flair Maker steel dies. She made her own paper to cut the flags from by taking a piece of watercolor paper and then coloring it with watercolor crayons.

She created the sentiment by pairing together a circle stamped with our Family Flair stamp set with a phrase cut with the Say It - Love You steel dies. They look so great together!

So true close by Daniela Dobson

To really give her a card a more artsy look, Daniela splattered the card with spray mists when she was all done. So cool!

Story Card Sunday: You Did It

Story Card Sunday is here again so let's get right to it.

Please give it up for this week's Story Card.

2_scs_42_congrats

This pocket page-friendly Story Card was easy to make with steel dies and clear stamps from TechniqueTuesday.com. Let me show you can make one like it.

First, you are going to need to do some die-cutting. Cut a base card using Technique Tuesday's Story Card DIY Steel Dies. You are also going to want to cut a label card with the Classic Label Card steel dies. In addition, you should cut a circle and some flags and shapes with the Flair Maker steel dies

Scs_42_1

Place the label card onto the Story Card. Add the banners, shapes and circle.

Scs_42_2

Cut off the part of the circle that's hanging off the Story Card.

Stamp a sentiment onto the card. The one I used is from Technique Tuesday's You Did It stamp set, which is part of the Summer 2014 release. (You can see the Summer 2014 release right here.)

Scs_42_3

Finish the card by wrapping some twine around it and tying a bow in front.

Scs_42_4

When finished, you'll have something that looks like this.

Hooray!

Tune in next week to learn how to make another Story Card.

A Cheerful Card from Tobi

Bright, cheery and happy are all words I'd used to describe this fun card by Tobi Crawford.

Photo (18)

I sure love how Tobi cut the circles out of patterned paper and then stamped the flowers inside them. The flower stamp she used is from the Family Flair stamp set.

And check out that cool sentiment strip! Tobi cut a piece of white cardstock and then stamped on top with one of the phrases from Technique Tuesday's I Like You stamp set. I sure love that two-toned look.

Nice job, Tobi!

Story Card Sunday: Love You Banners

Hooray! It's Story Card Sunday once again, and I've got a new pocket page-friendly journaling card to share with you.

2_scs_41_LoveYouBanners
While this Story Card would look swell in a pocket page scrapbook, it would also work on a card or a traditional scrapbook page. Let me show you how you can make one just like it.

Start by cutting a base with Technique Tuesday's Story Card DIY Steel Dies and a frame with the Classic Label Card steel dies. You'll also want to cut some small flags and shapes with the Flair Maker steel dies. You'll notice my red flags look different than the others. That's because I cut them from wool felt rather than paper.

Scs_41_1

Place the frame onto your Story Card base. Adhere the flags and shapes together to make a banner. You want it to look somewhat like this.

Scs_41_2

Wrap a piece of twine or floss around the card. Tie a bow in front.

Scs_41_3

Finish the card off by stamping a sentiment onto the label. (The one I used came So Grateful, a stamp set TechniqueTuesday.com will be releasing in a few weeks as part of their Summer release.)

Scs_41_4

The finished card should look something like this.

Ta-da!

Hope to see you again next week for another installment in our Story Card Sunday series

A Sweet Card from Daniela

Like flowers? Like cards?

Then I'd like to introduce you to this beauty from Daniela Dobson.

Hello by Daniela Dobson (1)

Three words: Ooh la la!

Don't you love how Daniela colored in those flowers with the Hello - Greenhouse Society stamp set?! Daniela used Technique Tuesday's watercolor crayons to do all her coloring. The colors she used are so pretty!

Technoque-Tuesday-Greenhouse-Society-Hello-Clear-Stamps-Medium

Daniela also used the stamp set for the card's sentiment. The flags she used were die-cut with one of the dies from the Story Card DIY Steel Dies.

Hello close by Daniela Dobson (1)

Thanks for letting me share your card, Daniela!

Story Card Sunday: Love This Bookmark

Hi everyone!

Sunday means it is time for a new Story Card.

And I've got something special up my sleeves today. I'm going to show you how to make a Story Card and then turn it into a bookmark.

1_scs_40_LoveThisBookmark

Fun, huh?!

Let me show you how you can make one like it with clear stamps and steel dies from TechniqueTuesday.com.

First, you are going to do some die-cutting.

Scs_40_1

Cut a base card with our Story Card DIY Steel Dies.

Cut a frame using the Cool Tab Label Card steel dies. You'll also want to cut five stars with stars die that's included with the Cool Tab Label Card steel dies.

Cut a circle with our Circles steel dies, and a small circle with the Flair Maker Fresh Cut Studio steel dies.

Scs_40_2

Adhere the frame to the base card. Be sure to adhere the larger circle right below the tab.

Scs_40_3

Stamp a phrase onto the small circle. (The one I used is from the Happy Day Flair stamp set.)

Scs_40_4
Adhere the small circle to the Story Card. Add the stars to it as well.

Scs_40_5

This Story Card is good to go if you want to use it in a pocket page or on a traditional scrapbook page. To turn it into a bookmark, fold it in half like so.

Scs_40_6
Here's where the magic comes in: Open the Story Card up. Add two strips of magnets to it.

Scs_40_7

And that's all! You've got a bookmark.1_scs_40_LoveThisBookmark

I will be back again next Sunday with another Story Card. Hope to see you then!
