From those who ship orders and design products to those who create samples with our stamps, we couldn't do what we do without them.
Periodically, we want to take time to introduce you to them. Today, we want you to get to know Charlene Austin, one of our talented Stamping Techs.
Take it away, Charlene!
TT: How long have you been stamping?
It's been about 5 years and a little over 4 since I started blogging. I remember going to my first Stampin' Up! party and I just didn't "get it." I think I might have made fun of my friends and wondered what these grown woman were playing with stamps and coloured paper. (Whoops! Sorry, friends.) When I went to the second party, something clicked, I got hooked and I've been loving making cards ever since.
TT: Three words that describe me right now are…
Thrifty (I'm a thrift store addict. I love looking for unique vintage items). Chaotic (ironically I'm prepping for my first ever garage sale. What am I thinking? I GO to garage sales…I don't HAVE garage sales!). Focused (besides working on purging my house I'm counting calories and I'm determined to lose 40 pounds.)
TT: Favorite Technique Tuesday product right now?
I am an Ali Edwards stamp fanatic. I LOVE them all! I don't scrapbook, but I'll always find a way to use her stamps on a card.
TT: What’s your favorite stamping technique?
I am the first to admit that I'm not really a technique kind of girl, but I would choose "Paper Piecing" as the one I enjoy the most. I love fussy cutting.
TT: Favorite color scheme to use when crafting?
I love kraft and cream, but I use pretty much any colour I'm in the mood for at that crafty moment.
TT: Dogs or cats? Fruits or veggies? Ocean or mountains?
Dogs - my blog 'Willow & Paisley' is named after my 2 little Chihuahua/Pomeranian babies.
Veggies - I'm addicted to Green Smoothies and drink one every day. My favourite right now is spinach, almond milk, frozen pumpkin puree, cinnamon and fresh ground nutmeg. Tastes like Pumpkin Pie, people! You must try it!
Ocean - I live one hour away from the mountains, but I'd take an ocean any day over them.
TT: My most prized possession is…
My collection of Fire King Jadeite. I have 160+ pieces and I treasure every one of them. And yes, I do use them (very carefully and when no one else is around. Heehee).
TT: When I was a little girl, I wanted to be…
When I was in high school I wanted to be a coroner. I loved my Biology teacher. But then I found out how much schooling was involved and that wasn't going to happen.
TT: Can you give us a stamping or paper crafting tip?
Just recently I transferred most of my stamps into Tim Holtz clear pockets. It was well worth the time and effort, and they take up much less space now.
We asked Charlene to share one of her favorite Technique Tuesday projects with us.
And we love the one she picked. She used our Glee stamp set to do all the stamping on this card. And those flowers? She rolled them herself! Amazing, right?

Charlene is the best! I love her style and she is such an awesome friend... a friend who shares our weird obsession with us grown women who like to play with stamps and colored papers!
