Hello everyone!
Laura here!
Today I’ve made a project which utilizes one of the great aspects of clear stamps, their bend-ability.
I’m starting early on Christmas cards, and for this one I’m using Technique Tuesday’s Vintage Lace Borderline stamp to decorate an ornament cut with the Tim Holtz Carved Ornaments die.
First I’ve given a slight curve to 2 of the stamps and stuck them on an acrylic block.
Then I stamped the images on a white cardstock die cut ornament with Versamark and heat embossed it with Detail Silver embossing powder. I also pressed the top of the ornament directly in the Versamark and silver embossed it to make the ornament hanger.
Next I used Distress Fired Brick ink and the foam blending tool to color the ornament. I started on the outer edges and circled my way in, leaving the center lighter in color.
And here is my card:
And because heat embossing is so hard to photograph here is another angle:
Just that little bend in the stamped pattern and the fading of the ink gives the impression of a round ornament, but what you’ve got is a sturdy and mail-able card that’s easy to mass produce.
To finish off the ornament I punched a small hole in the top and tied a bow with bakers twine. The holiday words are from Celebrate the Seasons by Ali Edwards.
See you again soon!

Thanks for sharing such a great idea. Fun card.
