Hi everyone!
Behind Technique Tuesday are a whole lot of wonderful, creative people. And we think you should get to know them so we're periodically going to use our blog introduce you to our team members.
Today, we're kicking off those introductions by spotlighting Tanis Giesbrecht, one of TT's talented Stamping Techs.
TT: Where are you from?
Tanis: I live in the little village of Landmark (and YES, we are a landmark - we are in the exact longitudinal centre of Canada - 96 degrees) in flat, flat Manitoba.
TT: How long have you been stamping?
Tanis: Since 2003.
TT: Three words that describe me right now are…
Tanis: ... down-to-earth, learning, wifemom
TT: Favorite Technique Tuesday product right now?
Tanis: I LOVE the watercolor crayons. They are so versatile and easy to use. My go-to stamp sets are pretty versatile, too....Wingin' It, Chit Chat and Petite Posies are a few favs.
TT: What’s your favorite stamping technique?
Tanis: I love fussy cutting my stamped images. And now that I own those great watercolour crayons, I've fallen in love with colouring again. Love that!
TT: Favorite color scheme to use when crafting?
Tanis: Anything bright and happy. I love 70's inspired colour themes....olives, oranges, browns. I love mixing in turquoise with just about anything.
TT: Dogs or cats? Fruits or veggies? Ocean or mountains?
Tanis: Cats (I have two). Fruits AND veggies when they are prepared for me, all cut up, complete with dips, served on a platter. And mountains - where I can hike, bike and explore.
TT: My most prized possession is…
Tanis: ... my 1990-something van. I couldn't go anywhere or do anything fun without it.
TT: When I was a little girl, I wanted to be…
Tanis: ... a teacher. And guess what? I'm a teacher. Go figure :)
TT: Can you give us a stamping or paper crafting tip?
Tanis: I love adding details (dots and doodles) to stamped images with my white paint pens.
And we also asked Tanis to share a favorite project she made with Technique Tuesday's products.
We're pretty fond of this one, too.
It uses: This is the Day by Ali Edwards; Growing Wild; Passion for Polka and Verbose.
Thanks to Tanis for sharing a little bit about herself today!
Thanks for sharing Tanis, great project too!
